What a pleb although I do agree with his comments. Think he is slowly burning all of his Stamford Bridges at the moment!

If he did say these things, I mean seriously, surely he isn't this thick. What good would it do for the team? just trying to paint himeself in a better light which tells you everything you need to know about the man

is he in the squad for leverkusen? I noticed that a local radio station here said that Fernando Alonso wasnt going to play (right after doing the F1 news) against leverkusen or something similar, but might have heard slightly wrong (but i know they definitely said Alonso)

A question for you all if things keep going the way they are for him at Chelsea would you take him back if he was available? I know we were all gutted when he decided to leave especially to another PL rival and he didn't do himself much credit with the way he handled it either but still he was still scoring for us just before he left and the only thing that makes me think it might be worth it is a fit Torres playing with Suarez would be something special. I'm not for a moment suggesting it will happen just a hypothetical one for my fellow reds

Would Saurez and Torres really work? Just reminds me of the Torres and Keane partnership where they were just in each others way.

I'm not sure to be honest if it would work, i think maybe it could as Suarez is much better and much more intelligent on the pitch than than Keane who i never rated that highly if I'm honest. I think Kenny thought it could work as we were going to buy Suarez anyway before Nando said he wanted to go.

I think it would work with both of them playing for us.

I also think that Torres had his head turned, probably by his agent, but I guess we'll never know.

I also think he utterly regrets leaving Liverpool.

But will it happen? Never in a million years.

Oh what was the name of the Chelsea translator, mainly from Claudio Ranieri's era? Lost in translation was the norm then

Pretty sure his bridges are burnt with Liverpool now so I'd be amazed if he ever returned.

If his current drought does continue then I can't see him sticking around in English football much longer and Chelsea could take a massive hit if they do end up selling him. Fair to say his current market value must be a fair bit lower than 9 months ago.

I do wonder which commentator will be first to utter the immortal words..."Torres proving his critics wrong now" if/when he ever scores another goal :D

I agree i think you can see it in his face that he regrets going there and that he's not happy and i think he may have started to realize what he left behind. With us he was loved he could really do no wrong, even when he looked like he wasn't really interested we still stuck by him and said it was just because the team he was playing in at that minute were below what liverpool would expect to be fielding. Now though he's just another player at Chelsea he really means nothing to the fans there as he hasn't done anything to deserve their adulation and i think he may think if only I'd waited a few months more he could have played in our team with the new signings who might not finish too far off Chelsea this season.

I know it won't happen like you say but i just wanted to see what peoples thoughts would be on a potential return and so far it looks like its a big no from our fan's.

Firstly he has burnt all his bridges at Liverpool. I read a report in February that John Henry said ''The atmosphere around the club has improved since he left''. The ''He'' is obviously Torres. Others ie Roy Hodgson, Ryan Babel etc have left the club with grace and dignified fashion, but others ie Mereiles and Torres have not.

For a club that was supposeably Torres ''dream club'' ,it doesn't seem he's all that happy. He was supposed to have a new lease of life at Chelsea because he was so unhappy at Liverpool. It doesn't seem Torres is happy anywhere, clubs bend over backwards to accomodate him, he throws it back in their faces. Villas Boas for one so young has shown great character by showing him and RA who is boss by dropping him.

I commend that. Fair play to him. He's picking players that perform, not just because they cost x amount of money, and they are obliged to play them. Kenny has done so with Andy Carroll, Kenny doesn't feel obliged to picked Andy Carroll just because he cost £35 million. Andy Carroll has to earn his place like everyone else. It takes a manager with guts to make such a decision. Its something I admire.

If Torres continues to make such comments, there will be only one winner and it won't be him. I believe Villas Boas will boot him out of Stamford Bridge, and if he does, I will applaud him.

Torres has been successful because of midfields, at Atheletico he had a 5 man midfield who did everything then he his teams on the break with bursting speed and accuracy. At Anfield he played in a 4-2-3-1 system where Alonso and Maschenaro dominated the midfield then the genius of Gerrard played him in (again by quick counter attacks usually). He likes to be the lone man up front, allowed to pull wide to pick up the ball and feed charging midfielders, or get on the end of through balls. Chelsea do not play like that, they control the game and smoother teams, they also play with 2 or 3 up front.

As for returning to Anfield, no chance, if your not a committed Red KK wont entertain you (ask Merieles) and you will be allowed to go as long as you reach the fee they want. Also many legends cant stand him now (Aldridge for example burely utters his name).

Torrres for Liverpool played the same style as Ian Rush in that he played on the shoulder of the last defender. However some people including ex Liverpool players suggest that Ian Rush was just a goal-scorer, that he wasn't really a team-player. I tend to disagree with that, Ian Rush unlike Torres was a team-player. Torres never put himself out for the team.

Ian Rush on the otherhand is one of the most genuine and humble individuals and always thanked his team-mates for his success. He has gone on to say that he would never have been as successful if it weren't for Kenny Dalglish for a number of reasons. He said Kenny gave him confidence by taking the piss out of him, and he guided him in his early days by telling him where to run, Kenny said ''If you run into that space, I'll put the ball there''.

Torres had a bit of a ''Me Me Me'' atitude similar to Michael Owen. Steven Gerrard has been guilty of having that atitude previously however, he's learnt to eliminate it from his persona and is more humble and genuine. Stevie knows only too well that Kenny won't tolerate such an atitude. I do agree that certain ex players will not utter Torres name notably John Aldridge whom refers to him as FT, I'm made to believe that FT means ****ing Twat.
