I honestly don't think Poch will bench Moura. The great thing that Poch did tonight was to put attacker after attacker onto the field. Poch will go for this. We can beat the Mousers. Believe, people!
he deserves to start if you ask me regardless of Kane being fit. what an option to have Kane off the bench.
Surely as a reward to the players we have to play the same front players whose achievements have put us into the CL final. If Moura's dropped for Kane then it will be an injustice, he has to play. Goodnight gentlemen.
This 100% Moussa the Goat was immense throughout, but when he ran at them they panicked - like kids against a man! Psychologically, his performance was massive.
Levy to Poch 'Now Mauricio, explain to me why you need new players, I'm happy with the ones we already have'
Still can’t believe what I witnessed last night. Unbelievable second half. I’ve made my feelings on Trippier known for some time. First half he was dreadful, but second half he made up for his mistakes with a superb attacking and defensive performance. Credit where it’s due. Sissoko just... wow. What has happened to that man? Phenomenal. I still can’t get over how good he’s been this season. I watch him now and see elements of dembele in his game, which is only a good thing. Absolutely brilliant. I made a comment last night about the belief that Liverpool had on Tuesday, and how it didn’t look like we had that same belief. But the players transformed at half time and gave everything. I hope we learn from this for the final, and start the final with that belief from the outset. When we play with heart, as @Spurlock says, anything is possible. Sometimes that’s all you need. Absolutely buzzing. Work is gonna be lovely today.
Lovely post RCL you have moved me to tears again this morning. Got me thinking too – May 8th last year was the day I was discharged from hospital, the infection that I had contracted following my cancer surgery, had left me virtually paralysed I was just about able to take my weight on my feet at the time, one year on and I have made almost a complete recovery and the bloke running around the lounge screaming last night bears no resemblance to the man who laid in his hospital bed listening to the Utd cup semi last year and wondered if he would ever witness such a big game again. People who don’t ‘get’ football will never understand, what it is that creates such a passion within normally rational people that they get so excited by a ‘mere game’, but nights like last night are special, for me they make me glad to be alive. I can only imagine what it must have been like to have actually been there, just watching on the TV has bought most of us to our knees on a ridiculous rollercoaster of emotions that only football can provide. I will always love my team, we have our moments where we fall out, it’s the same in any loving relationship, but today is a day for footballing romance, for poems and love songs, no bickering about who should and shouldn’t play in the final no arguments about tactics or buying players, lets just love the moment and take in the fact that we will playing in the Champions League Final. C O Y S
Then Poch needs to show him the League table. If all we want is CL then possibly he'd have a point. If we want to win the league. More players.
Two incredible 2nd half comebacks against all the odds. The only difference that Pool knew from minute 1 on Tuesday that Barcelona were not at the races. The impetus was there throughout. Our lads had to overcome the deficit, but before that had to turn the character of the match around, having gone 2-0 down and being a very poor 2nd best for 45 minutes. That takes real guts and belief.
I don't think the dust has settled yet. From despair to triumph all over again. Watching the first half, Ajax were SO good. Imperious. 1-11 their players were so good on the ball, so confident and utterly assured in their roles. We couldn't press them, I couldn't think of a side so good at playing around a pressing team since Pep's Barca. They were astonishing at times over these two legs. Then that second half, that mad last few minutes. How good were Moura's feet for his second goal?! Watch it again, unbelievable. Then that winner, at the death. It almost took a second to register for me what he'd done, time seemed to slow. Just standing there asking myself and everyone around me over and over - what on earth just happened? What a feeling what a night
