Enjoy your day out at Chester SJ. Not my cup of tea anymore but I can see the attraction(s).

Chan, I'm really interested in the Wednesday card, especially the Vase, but will only be attending on Thursday. No doubt Wednesday's results will impact my selections for Thursday. Cannot wait!

I see for the second year running there is another gamble going on Gossiping in the last- altho not as big as last year he has still halved in price. The owners must be looking for redemption from last year!

Surely the change in going will help King Ottakar conquer Norway?

In the 815 Fontwell, I see that 'Strike The Flint' is running.
Isn't that one that @stick put up a while back?

Have a great meeting SimonJ, with plenty of winners! Only thing I look for at Chester would be in the 5f sprints, with a horse who is not only fast but can blast out of the gate. A good example would be She Can Boogie, who, although drawn widest of the 5-runners won at Chester in July 2018. Ridden by Liam Jones, she absolutely blasted out of the gate, cut across to the inside, and that was that. She was not for catching. However, your weather comments would seem to negate this theory at the moment?

    Good luck! <ok>

Enjoy mate. There'll certainly be some sights to be hold by mid afternoon. This rain will play havoc with the fake tan.

As always, course form and race draw is prominent in the thoughts for the cards on The Roodee; throw in the rain and you've got a nice conundrum.
Non Runners starting to filter through, keep an eye on that.

Hoping to kick things off with a win - 1.50 Top Buck
The rain could be a boost to the hopes of Dave Dexter in the 3.00, so may follow that one.
I'm starting to like the look of Wild Edric in the 4.35,

I'm getting drawn to Sir Dragonet in the Vase, for some reason.

    Good Luck all who play.

I have backed GENTILE BELLNI [11/1] in the vase. Cost 2mil at the sales and has the profile of an improver. He won his maiden at Cork -good to soft- and will appreciate give in the ground.Today's jockey won the 1000 guineas on a horse that was not the stables first choice so jockey bookings is of no concern. At Cork [10 furlongs] he made all of the running and won by a comfortable 2 lengths. Today's rider won the 1000 making all of the running, and I hope Lordan will do the same. If he can get the fractions right he can beat the more fancied rivals
