FFS do you never learn <grr>
if our mods weren't so spineless they would ban you until the season ends for the greater good.
Don’t worry I am here to balance this **** out
Ajax remind me of us last season and could rip us a new one
Spurs due a win against us and will have Kane back so the press will jizz more than they did over Messi
Either way we will lose the final

For the first time in decades we’ve built something bigger than one or two players. Previous years we relied too much on the stars in the team, Owen, gerrard, Torres, Suarez etc. What Klopp has built here is a beast that surpasses his own expectations. It’s a genuine team with heart, passion, ability and humility. No longer reliant on a talisman. And today of all days, against Suárez who did so much for us but also epitomised everything that was always wrong with our set ups, was hugely symbolic. It felt like closure on one very long era, and the opening of something much more exciting

Great stuff. Would read again <hug>

Barca looked on the beach, thought the tie was over and winning the league so early can help keep your competitive edge. Their finishing as appalling, it was as if they expected to lose but only by 1 or 2 so it didn't matter if they fluffed a few chances.

Liverpool join exclusive club - the stats
  • Liverpool have reached their ninth European Cup/Champions League final - only Real Madrid (16), Milan (11) and Bayern Munich (10) have reached more.
  • They are the first English side to reach back-to-back Champions League finals since Manchester United (2008 and 2009).
  • This was just the fourth time a team has overturned a three-or-more goal deficit from the first leg of a Champions League (not European Cup) knockout tie to progress. Barcelona were also on the receiving end the last time (against Roma last season).
  • Barcelona have now been eliminated from three of their past four Champions League semi-final ties.
  • La Liga's current champions suffered their heaviest-ever defeat against an English side in all European competitions.
  • Full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold has provided 14 assists in all competitions this season, more than any other Liverpool player.
  • Divock Origi scored his first Champions League goals, and in doing so became the 50th different player to score in the competition for Liverpool (excluding own goals).
  • Georginio Wijnaldum is the first Liverpool player to score twice from the bench in a Champions League game since Ryan Babel against Besiktas in 2007. He is also the first substitute to score twice in a single game against Barcelona in the competition.
  • Lionel Messi either attempted (five) or created (three) all eight of Barcelona's shots against Liverpool in this match.

I’m still in shock. Am in Germany and had to leave a team drink to go watch it in my room.......returned to the bar after the game and probably stayed way too long. I’m up presenting first this morning - should be interesting...

Amazing. Can’t believe I doubted them at all now.

Unbelievable stuff fellas, no one can say that you didn’t deserve that last night. There was no luck, no dodgy refereeing decisions, you just outplayed them and showed much more desire. There was a real irony in the fact that Suarez snide dig at Robertson lead directly to the change that won you the tie. Had to howl at you lot chanting cheat at him though <laugh>

Well done to the RS <applause> <grr> <laugh> <ok>

Thanks @Tobes

Suarez is always a cheat, but hes so tenacious and just wants to do everything to win. His world cup hand ball on the line sums him up best. I bet he could be playing his mum at monopoly and still cheat to win

Just unbelievable, thanks for producing such an amazing game, in so many respects.

Totally deserved, over both games (I actually thought you deserved at least a draw in Spain last week).

Can wait for the final. Btw, anyone know what Saints bonuses are if you win this? It could be cheaper for you lot to lose it <whistle>

We just lost a few mil on coutinho but gained about 20mil for reaching final.

I dunno if theres any clauses as we straight out paid your asking prices for mane and vvd. Lovren and lallana... maybe theres a few pence to come there?
