But it is primarily a Rugby versus Football thing that constantly gets brought up on here ! It's boring !
They have never promoted City properly. Keen to hang on their coat tails when it suits them but equally quick to revel in their misfortune. They seem to think the whole country is gripped by fever about FC and Rovers and their rivalry. Even the councillors are no better. When Hull was awarded the City Of Culture no mention we had a PL team, the only one in the biggest county in the country. Geraghty said it would be a great opportunity to see what a great sporting city Hull was. Not only does it love its rugby league but darts and wrestling.
Nobody outside Hull has the slightest idea what it says in the HDM, I don't see how you think it could have any bearing on Hull's image.
To be fair, Hull Live is regularly featured on various newspaper piss taking sites on social media due to its embarrasing content and sad compo faces of ****s who had little Billy suspended from school for being a bellend or bellends complaining about the council for being thick and breaching tenancy rules. Hull live has done damage to our reputation on a daily basis.
That report was a bit of a nonsense, it was based purely on sales at Sports Direct and obviously most people on Merseyside will buy their shirts directly from Liverpool FC, not from Sports Direct.
Of course they do. FC v Rovers is like Rangers v Celtic, Liverpool v Everton etc. That was claimed in an HDM article once, and repeated on RH by the likes of Gollum and Craig Murdock.
There's a few on this board who get a hard on if they believe they have pissed you off. It's just a social media thing. Some people, weak people like Castro/Barcelona seem to feel they gain some sort of strength or relevance from it. **** knows why but that's my take on it.
I used to go to rugby when I lived in Hull.Nothing wrong with the people who play the game. It is some, not all, of their fans who piss some of us off. Need 5o have been going to City late 70s/early 80s to fully grasp why.
