I've supported Hull City for over 50 odd years and I've never ever met a Hull City fan who supports Leeds Rhino's. Strange that don't you think ?
Ever seen anyone in Leeds with a Leeds Rhinos sticker in their car alongside a Man U or Liverpool one?
I have actually, quite a lot. It's a fact that most people in Leeds support the Rhino's and couldnt give a **** about the football team. It is only now the glory supporters are starting to crawl out of the woodwork. As Leeds has quite a high ethnic population, you see them all the time in their Man U/City and liverpool tops.
On this very board there's Leeds fans complaining about ****ers wandering round Leeds city centre in Man United, Man City, Liverpool and Barca shirts, so presumably there are people with Liverpool and Leeds Rhinos stickers in their cars.
I asked if you had ever seen one. I never have. Neither have I ever seen anyone in Liverpool with a Liverpool sticker next to a Hull FC one. Maybe all those people wandering around Leeds with those shirts on were from Hull in search of a decent city centre shopping experience?
I don't live in Leeds, so have absolutely no ****ing idea what car stickers people have. But the point I made about people all over the country supporting teams they have no connection with is a fact, it's not a Hull thing.
What about Sheffield? They don't have a Super League club and I've no idea what stickers they have in their cars.
So, you haven't a ****ing clue but in the last post you presumed there were. Do you often presume things you know **** all about? And we weren't talking about people in other cities supporting other teams, though we seem to have a higher percentage of them than most places. We were talking about people supporting their local rugby team and having their sticker in the car alongside a sticker of a football club from elsewhere. Does it happen in Leeds, Bradford and Huddersfield?
Though they have a RL who has won the Challenge Cup as many times as Rovers and until fairly recently had won at Wembley as many times as FC had.
The assertion that this is a Hull thing is nonsense, as anyone who reads other clubs boards will tell you, fans all over the country moan about their local glory supporters. If you need photo evidence of car stickers as proof of this, I'm afraid I'm unable to help you. Maybe try the Leeds board?
As I said, this was about people supporting their local rugby league club and at the same time a football club from elsewhere. And many of them actively hoping the local football. It doesn't happen in Leeds, Bradford or Huddersfield. It may in Wigan as the local media there and some of the population are as rugby centric as they are in Hull.
