Zanjinho is talking on behalf of everybody and saying they weren’t getting excited. I bet some of them had cracked their cans of celebratory Skol open before Kompany banged that goal in.

Talking of stupid astro stats, when I asked the Livpl lads why they thought Barca's 3-0 win flattered them massively, this was his reply...

Astro: Expected goals was 2.7-1.6 so yes it massively flattered them.

I’ve managed to secure a week’s lodging at a part finished basement on one of our developments mate, next week, I’ve organised for a sofa and tele down there and a bit of temporary power so I can laugh in private for a few days without offending any Liverpool fans.

I’ve got room for about 8 down there but we’d have to soundproof it if there’s too many of us.

Maddison seems a bit hot and cold, started of great, then seemed to fade as the season went on, though that could've been due to Puel's stiffling tactics. Choudhury has looked decent the times I've seen him, but hasn't been used that much iirc.

I've not watched enough of them tbh, but thought both looked great today.
