GTFO with that! That's one of those occasions where I clearly read the comment wrong - G4E up to his old tricks. The wager had already been agreed.
Sorry Kipper, you have agreed to that bet 'as it was written'. Remember you went to great pains to make that same point when you took my Emery/Poch bet. Nobody is interested in whether you 'read it wrong'. You agreed to it so you will be held to it
That's not the bet you agreed to Kipper. Nobody is interested in your excuses. Only the bet you agreed to.
https://www.not606.com/threads/the-tottenham-hotspur-spiral-watch.335992/page-302#post-11990051 The link is above, so everyone can read it for themselves. I see, also, that G4E clearly accepted the bet in those terms. Thank you, Pix, for reminding me of that wager! I do hope G4E will honour the wager.
Whenever you're ready, I'd like to discuss the terms of our agreed deal mate. Unless you're going to welch? Which is fine. I don't judge you for being a welcher. Hold your welch flag high and proud.
You're bang to rights on this Kips. You and G4E were negotiating the bet, but this is the one you agreed to. https://www.not606.com/threads/the-tottenham-hotspur-spiral-watch.335992/page-303#post-11991186 And remember, you agreed to it 'Exactly as it was written'. You will know about this because you cried like a bitch to make sure your bet with me was 'exactly as it was written'
Unlucky for you, Pix, G4E had already accepted the bet as originally set, and here is the proof... https://www.not606.com/threads/the-tottenham-hotspur-spiral-watch.335992/page-302#post-11990261
That was just him reeling you in mate. You subsequently agreed to his bet 'exactly as it was written' here :
Unfortunately for you, Pix, there is very clear evidence that G4E had already accepted the real wager (not the dodgy one he later tried to you impose)…
Lots of bets evolve before the two parties agree on the final bet. Your example came earlier in the thread when you two were still working out the terms. Not sure why you agreed to G4E's terms, but you did. And the bet stands 'exactly as it was written'
G4E merely re-stated the wager incorrectly after he has already accepted the terms. It's basic English contract law. He's fcuked.
So Kipper has given us a summary of his and G4E's negotiation, but the final bet that they both agreed to is there to see for all 'exactly as it was written'
"Ok, you are on" isn't accepting the bet, then? Seems like G4E is trying to welch and Piskie's trying to help him.
