Newcastle United need to take action against themselves profit over security seems to be their priority I just wonder at what point did they decide to sell tickets to away fans on block what security checks were taken as they issued loads of warnings to the average fan what they would do if home fans sold their tickets to away fans
I often get at you lot for moaning about refs. Some just are so black and white eyed it gets ridiculous. You read these boards at times and wonder if people realise there are two points of view. However on this occasion it is 100% justified. Andre Mariner should be speared through his japs eye with 12in diameter rusty spike. Absolutely disgraceful. I get big decisions go both ways at times. However every single 50/50 was given to Liverpool. The inconsistency was a disgrace and I wasn't surprised Rafa was so upset. He was not giving a foul to us, then awarding Liverpool a foul two seconds later for the same or even lesser offence. I could go through the different talking points but no need. Quite simply Mariner is a cheat. As for the Liverpool fans in hospitality, absolute joke by the club. Its no good blaming the Liverpool fans, they have loads riding on it and will get excited. We'd be the same. The only thing I would say is celebrating in the face of our fans is disrespectful and to be honest dangerous in some cases There was undoubtedly going to be a mass brawl if we scored again. To be honest one of the lads I was with, who is normally pretty calm, turned and said "If Rondon puts this free kick I'm gonna be in that fat bastards face who just celebrated in mine". The club have to look at themselves. When we were sat in hospitality we could all sense what was going to happen. Way too many Liverpool fans in there and sure enough they caused trouble, but mainly through not being in the correct place to celebrate. One of the Newcastle fans turned round to the hospitality lead who came through our area and said "You are having a laugh though surely? This won't end well, you best kick them out now". A Liverpool fan who was with the boxer Liam Smith piped up to try and kick off with the bloke. This was before a ball had been kicked. They knew they were in and could have just done a mass round up and removed them all. They didn't because they knew they'd sold out the section, and knew all those taking them weren't Newcastle. Thats the truth of it, the full house and money was more important than their own fans being able to enjoy the game.
One soft free kick or two happens in football because the players are cheating and I mean all of them
Personally absolute d!ckheads going into home fans areas and hospitality, then even worse to be openly celebrating. Even if unintentional, it will wind up home fans, just sit there and shut up The club should look into their booking procedures too, how can away fans get into hospitality. On top of that it must be easy to work out what home fans sold their tickets to away fans too. Unacceptable all round in my opinion.
Agreed. I was at Anfield for the second 4-3 and sat on my hands and said nowt whilst imploding with joy as we scored our goals. A couple of scousers next to me knew where my aliegencies were but as I sat quietly they just enjoyed watching me squirm.
Viagogo,I bought a ticket from them for last Sunderland game,I'm only a club member so only allowed 1 ticket for that game so bought it for my mate, funny thing was I was immediately directed to the site, was definitely sold from a Newcastle season ticket holder or member at a profit a few minutes after they went on sale and I don't mean general!
Reminds me of going in the 1970’s with some Scouse friends to see NUFC away to Everton. We went into the “home” end as my friends were Everton fans and didn’t even fancy one of the “sides” as there were lots of NUFC fans in the “sides” and they were wary about trouble breaking out. The game was 4-4. I managed, i thought, to have kept my affiliations secret even when we went 4-3 up until one Everton fan tapped me on the shoulder and said “you’d better pray we score”. I couldn’t work out how i was sussed until Everton scored their fourth and the entire Everton “home” end erupted...with one exception...me. Lesson learned for the next time.
Is it, how do you figure that out? It's better for Sky so they can sell more subscriptions but that's about it,yes City spend fortunes on players but so what they have it to spend, you saying other clubs wouldn't spend as much if they could?
https://www.google.com/amp/s/rokerr.../my-first-game-7-sunderland-6-0-millwall-1995 This is the one and only time I've been to Joker Park. My brother is a mackem and I'd agreed to give him a lift to the match. Would have been rude not to go to the match and watch them get their arses kicked by the mighty Millwall... It was ****in horrible.
