I do believe we tried and I'm wondering if the same rules will be applied in the Summer despite LJ being bold to quote him.
That was my question in an earlier post and I can fully understand the lack of interest on SL's behalf not to blow a wad of money on over priced players but unless you have better scouting than others there may come a point when you may be forced to follow the flock. There are several teams out there who have succeeded without splashing the cash (Norwich?) and it is becoming more evident each passing year that SL intends to stay on the same path. Every time I see our name linked with a player, that in reality is out of our price range, I ask myself if they really are the type of player needed down at the Gate knowing that probably they will never join City. Looking back at some of those players I can't see that many of them have reached the heights that came with their package. "Where are they now?" might be good summer comparison for someone to post on this site. Have a good one.
I believe I read somewhere years ago that Bristol City were the team with most draws in the entire league throughout their existence.
Depends on your definition of bold, one persons bold is another’s conservative, I wonder whether it refers to who we will keep rather than bring in. It should be an interesting summer either way.
