  5. I liked the Stones until I moved into a new place and the live in landlord was Charlie Watts' cousin. According to him they were the only band anyone should listen to as all the rest were ****. By the time I moved out I hated them!

  8. When I see posts on Facebook where christians are expressing hatred for homosexuals I point out that Jesus may have been gay himself. That goes down well.

That’s assuming he did exist and wasn’t actually an alien or a magician

Reckon you were born in the Womens Hospital if i had to guess.

As for prayers. There's a certain amount of evidence (and these things aren't things you can ever prove one way or another) that having people present in the room helps recovery times (obviously depending on the condition); it probably makes little to no difference what they are doing when they are there but if people want to go and pray etc it probably does help when compared to no one visiting at all. Compared to someone coming in and talking about football - well unlikely to be any difference.

Well, New Testament Jesus never said anything about not allowing Gays... That's all old testament ****. Most tend to ignore other old testament weird rules like:

Don't wear clothes made of more than one fabric.
Don't bring evergreen trees in your house (Xmas tree?)
    Don't wear makeup.
    Be kosher.
Chop off your foreskin... Etc. (Granted, they still do this in the US, but for aesthetic reasons and tradition not religion)

When I point out some of the weird old testament rules to the wife she usually comes back with something like "that's old testament and that all changed when Jesus made a new deal for man by sacrificing himself".

If that's true and you can ignore all the old testament crap, I'm not sure why some of them are still so anti homosexual on religious grounds when that itself is an old testament forbiddance.

Mother Teresa, to quote Christopher Hitchens, was 20th centuries biggest emotional con job. If you look into what she actually did... well she made the church a lot of money, not a lot else a truly evil and sadistic **** stain on humanity.

We are atheists if anything by default as the concept of a possibility of a deity is learned you can’t be unsure of a concept you don’t know.

Not an unpopular opinion but Ed Sheeran is a chromosome missing annoying cabaret singer and a massive ****. Just can’t be said enough.

Mother Teresa herself tended to have agnostic tendencies. Many of her private letters to people included comments about having doubts God exists...

That was in her later years if I recall correctly, there was no way the church were prepared to let that cash cow go though, let’s just say the money she raised didn’t do sod all to help the suffering.

Don't know if I believe in god, it's hard to believe in something we don't truly understand, confused by so many different variations of religion. Dependent on how devoted we are to a particular religion it also can control our life, and i don't particularly believe in being controlled by something unknown.

I believe in fate and the cycle of life is that a religion? I don't truly believe that destiny is entirely in our own hands, but death can be dictated by many factors and sometimes at the hands of others, dependent on where the path of fate leads you. Does life after death exist, well i'm not planning for it!
