Ohhhhhh, that riff. I heard Nick Lowe interviewed about recording that album and he said it was in his Top 10 of all time. It's been in my heart and soul since '76...
After a bit of a damp squib last night, it's gig night tomorrow.... Meeting Pogo there, so we'll probably end up next to a bar...Look out for the tallest people in the place......
A very good but somewhat verbose article expressing why New Rose is so fabulous and lamenting that The Damned never got their dues and remain unknown to too many... https://observer.com/2016/10/how-the-damned-changed-the-face-of-punk-with-their-first-song-new-rose/ Again, I'd encourage anyone to go and see them live. With Paul's return, they're at a very high level of performance again right now.
please log in to view this image I bet you can't guess who....?............still no London date though!

Just a quick note to say how superb The Undertones/Neville Staples Band were tonight. So good were they that Mrs B and I are considering going to see them again down in Bexhill in a couple of weeks.....the only problem being the missing element.....a London audience. Tickets available for numerous other venues across the UK.....Honestly, don't miss them. Footage to follow.....
Friday night is music night, but probably only on my car stereo would you get these 2 songs follow each other
Does 25 Albums and 380 songs By The Jam seem a little excessive thats what Amazon tells me I have (and I am not sure everything I own is on there!) It's certainly a decent output for a 6 year recording career! My entire Weller collection on Amazon runs to 73 albums and 974 songs!
I think I have every album Luke, including the recent 'deluxe editions' (which are all at least doubles with the super Deluxe Setting Sons running to 4 discs!) and the original 6 CD box set and the more recent 6 CD live box set, and various other compilations. With regard multiple recordings the most is 14 recordings of The Eton Rifles - obviously there were 2 versions originally the single and the album version - I have 4 single versions, 3 album versions and 7 live versions in addition I have live recordings of it by From The Jam, Paul Weller and the Stereophonics!
Oct 21 Roundhouse - Psychedelic Furs. The first 2 albums were great and I haven't seen them in a while....
