Speakers and Subs

I was mixing HK with bowers & Wilkins through a Panasonic amp previously and the sound was ****ing superb, so I’m not too worried about different brands. Just as long as it’s quality sound.

 

You are going to use a laptop, that will show up the difference

 

Yep I know it’s all down to the soundcard. I get a decent sound from it through the HK’s so it must be good enough. I know it’s never going to be HI-Fi quality, but I figure as one is wired and the other will be Bluetooth it won’t split the signal.

 

That should work fine.

Test it out with a bit of punk

 

Punk Is probably the worst genre to test the quality of recorded sounds to be honest

 

I have a Bose 500 and am very pleased with it , wanted a sonos play 5 , but it’s to big foe what we need . Funnily enough the opposite reason to you . Now waiting for funds to enable the setting up of a vinyl system !

 

I'll probs listen to all my vinyl again in the future, just trying to create a bit of room with my set up at the moment. I live in a small cottage and Record player, amp, Speakers, cables etc just getting in the way atm. Also just want to scratch an itch really and see what the quality of those Bose bluetooth speakers are like.

 

Sonos is the better sound , but to big for our needs and it does have limitations , one of which is it is not Bluetooth

 

Still got my Mordaunt base bins, Rega record deck and arcam amp somewhere, must dig them out.

Haven’t used them in 20 years!
