    Bain wants £1.3m in compensation and his solicitor argued that it should be paid sooner rather than later as there is a risk Rangers could go tits up.

    The papers include a statement that Craig Whyte will, if HMRC are successful, pay up to £15m. If the bill is higher than £15m he will let the business go under. The total, including fines and interest, could be as high as £49m.

    Surely that's just scaremongering? It'll be some Timmy scumbag who twisted Bain's arm to make these outlandish accusations.
