After sharing the spoils with Manchester United at Old Trafford, Chelsea will be aiming to return to retain their spot in top four with a win over Watford. This has to go down as a must-win game for the Blues, who are desperate to book their place in the Champions League and it is certain that the hosts will fight tooth and nail against the Hornets.

With Étienne Capoue missing with a groin problem it provides an opportunity for Tom Cleverley or Nathaniel Chalobah. Cleverley has started just one league game since the beginning of February while the last game Chalobah started was at the beginning of December at home to Manchester City.

"Since their return to the Premier League in 2015, Watford have scored more Premier League goals against Chelsea than they have against any other side (13). They’ve also scored more goals at Stamford Bridge (7) than any other visiting side over the past four seasons."

    Our Officials

    Referee: Paul Tierney
    Assistants: Eddie Smart, Adrian Holmes
    Fourth official: David Coote

Wonder if we find 7th is out of reach if Gracia will field a weaken side...without Capoue anyway!

Hope EC only has a minor injury. If this is Sunday JG can see how other results have gone on Sat, 7th might then be out of our reach by then (i.e. If Wolves beat Fulham bye bye 7th). That might impact his team selection.

What ever happens I hope there is a 1 million pound fine for any stupid red cards from now until the cup final.

Let's give Chelsea a spanking in their own yard!!

OFH thanks for the thread and the info""Since their return to the Premier League in 2015, Watford have scored more Premier League goals against Chelsea than they have against any other side (13). They’ve also scored more goals at Stamford Bridge (7) than any other visiting side over the past four seasons." Where di you find that??

Yes, think he might but at the moment (HT) 7th is still on if Fulham can hang on for a draw. Wolves, Everton, Leicester all have top 6 to play...

5live forgetting about us again saying goal for Wolves means Leics only club can catch and now Everton can’t. No mention of us being one of the four still in contention for 7th. Sorry, but I don’t miss a thing.

Looks like it’s the Cup for Europe then...

We cannot as they are 7 points ahead with 2 games to play.

Or did you mean we weren't mentioned as one team who cannot catch them now?

Yes, I meant as Wolves scored we weren’t mentioned as one of the teams that can no longer catch them but ‘big’ Everton were mentioned.

I mean I don’t miss anything with the media leaving us out. We just get forgotten sometimes but I know some Watford fans like that we fly under the radar.

Chalobah makes his first league start since December in place of the injured Capoue. Here's hoping he has an afternoon to push on from after such a tough campaign

I wonder who will pick up the first yellow card trying to stop him?
