Tbh...if players (who have literally thrown away a top 4 finish) wish to bitch about deserving or needing CL football they should be shot Pochettino has not really done himself many favours during this run so think that who ever may hsve been interested may have second thoughts. Tbh we do not deserve top 4. 3 league wins and a draw since march 1st is not acceptable for a top 4 club. We are in a slump and we aint beating that resurgent Everton team so are praying that arsenal and united do not win both matches. Chelsea will win at least 1 and united will not drop points to Huddersfield or Cardiff so top 4 has gone.
He also played for them so it’s a club he probably has good feelings towards. All depends on if they sack Tuchel, if they do, he’d likely be a front runner.
You said it his sacking at the end of this season was ‘inevitable’ Kips. You want me to quote you, or save yourself the humiliation and fess up now ?
Levy’s probably got some pics of poch getting buggered in the team shower. The only thing keeping him there is blackmail.
There’s been plenty of rumours that it was Poch, not Levy, who was choosing not to sign players. Even in a meeting with the spurs supporters trust, Levy mentions there was a budget for signings. But to put it bluntly, if we don’t strengthen considerably in the summer, we need shooting. Whether it’s Poch’s or Levy’s decision.
PSG may just take into account the lack of funds Poch has had and balance that with the football you've played at your best (which has been excellent) as well as getting to the CL sf.
Personally I think it’s three years too late. It was obvious to everybody back then that a few marquee signings would have pushed you to the next level. The squad you have, have shown repeatedly you can’t mount a serious challenge for the title.
We’ve still got a relatively good core of players even if we do lose Eriksen and Toby so I don’t think it’s too late, it’s just later than what it should’ve been. I think the club has been cautious with money because of the new stadium so it’s hard to criticise them for not splashing huge sums of cash in recent years although it was stupid to have not signed anyone at all this season, though as I’ve already mentioned, that’s not just down to Levy. Now the stadium’s here, I’d like to think to a certain extent it can start paying for itself and now the purse strings can be loosened a little to start bringing in the ideal level of players. I ain’t expecting us to spend a City-like-sum of £300m this summer but I think 3 or 4 good signings with a few young/ squad players isn’t too much to expect.
Like I said elsewhere, Pochettino's not done himself many favours in 2019. Losing to Southampton, Burnley, Chelsea, City, Bournemouth and liverpool (losing 2 to last minute goals and 4 to goals in the last 10 mins) scoring only 3 goals does not look good on his CV. When you throw in our record in all competitions in 2019... 8 prem wins 8 prem loses 1 prem draw 1 league cup win 1 league cup loss 1 FA Cup win 1 FA Cup loss 3 CL wins 2 CL losses 39 goals for 25 goals against. 7 v Tranmere 3 v Cardiff 4 v Huddersfield 10 clean sheets With our squad that is pretty piss poor. **** knows how we are still in the top 4.
