    Advice wanted :

I'm not really playing much of my vinyl at the moment, so I'm thinking of boxing up the record player, amp, speakers all the cables etc and just having something that I can listen to music off the laptop with.

Currently got some Harmon Kardon soundsticks (wired) but wondering if I can team that up with a wireless bluetooth speaker like Bose soundtouch or something ?

    Not my bag this sorry.

I do know you can remap a 320d as long as you remember to fill up though mate.

I'm not sure I've mentioned it before, but I did remap a 320d touring once.

I've got a couple of Bose speakers.

One in the kitchen, one at work and for the van.

Very good quality paired with Spotify and a phone, I've got nothing to compare it with though really.

Will say, it seems the only time I ever put a CD on is when Now That's What I Call Christmas gets dusted down every year.

Bar in the car, when I occasionally play Paranoid by Black Sabbath.

I'm probably just going to use it in the living room with the laptop and the missus' iPad so I don't need anything too portable. I've already got the soundsticks, but I'd just like something that 'spreads' the sound a bit more.

I've got some big **** off Bowers & Wilkins speakers, but as I said, I'm going to box it all up with the amp and cables etc. Would be nice to have something that's got good bass and top end without all the faff of wiring up an amp and cables etc.

    Get Bluetooth mate.

I don’t mean a photo of your dead tooth that’s withered away because you use seaweed to brush your teeth. Assuming you have any teeth left ..

Kind of prefer War Pigs, but that's still a great track.

    Bose is bluetooth.

Speakers through WiFi are ****e, from my experience.

Mainly because WiFi is generally ****e, not the speakers themselves.

I have a sonos 1 speaker which has a brilliant sound. As Small and compact as it is it doesn't impact the bass. Wi Fi thought and as Chief says, you need a good connection otherwise it can drop out annoyingly

I'd go with @Chief and get the Bose bluetooth speakers if you want quality.

I use an Echo in my living room which is good quality but not as good as Bose but I like that I can just walk in and tell it to play something and I have it linked to the lights and other accounts I have like British Gas and alarm clocks and calenders.

Well spotted mate, that is the standout sound.

Bill Ward was a hell of drummer.

The soundsticks are wired straight out of the 3.5mm mini jack. So a Bluetooth speaker wouldn’t be compromised ?

I would be more worried that Bose and HKs have have different sound characteristics, I would stick with one brand
