5.40 Kempton: ALFOUZY 11/2 (NAP) Neil Callan and Roger Varian team up for the final race of the day and Alfouzy looks to be much better upped to this trip, unlucky not to win the last twice, especially LTO when squeezed short of room. The first-time visor goes on today and has ran well on the AW at Kempton twice before. Looks a fair price but looks like it will have a bit of a ding dong battle with Kieron Fallon, who I expect to make a bold bid from the front on Eastern Paramour. 3.10 Kempton: WINNERS WISH 4/1 (NB) Jeremy Noseda books Frankie Dettori for this ride and have to say it looked a run full of promise in a Newmarket maiden, shaping as if the extra furlong would suit and certainly as if it would come on for the experience. Looks a typical Noseda type and jockey bookings suggests she should go close. 3.40 Kempton: RAIN DANCE 7/2 This looks a nailed on improver now switched to nurseries, showing fair promise in a couple of decent maidens (2nd start was behind Hello Glory and Besito) and it looks a good mark and a weak field in which to go very close.
Oddy the day to get our money back from willies bumpers Text From Mr Mullins recieved this morning "Hi Dan, We have just one runner again today. Koko Lane (Patrick) makes his debut in the bumper. He is a nice flat bred type but the ground today might be a little softer than he would like. However, as there are not many 4yo only bumpers, we are letting him take his chance here.So my advice Dano is get stuck in, great result for the boro mate see you at chelts next year if not before" Im on at 5s
Good Morning all What a superb week end, England winning against a very strong and organised Puma outfit, Man U having another superb match, what a season thatis is going to be in the Premiership, excellent result for Stoke (get in Sizing mate ) and the mighty Mr Gosden does it again with Masked Marvel! TopClass: Nice shout mate and good on you for acknowledging someone else's comments mate, glad you came round and got the right one. Funny race though, thought a couple a were rather unlucky but young Buick gave him a peach of a ride and won well, didn't win as much as from Arctic Cosmos as i was already on Sea Moon ante post EW too so it rather put me off going in again on Masked Marvel but a nice result and good returns. On a sour note half hour after i had been shouting him home one of my football team had his leg broken in 2 places (fib and tib) during a match! Very sad indeed, only 18 and due to join the Army in january!! Thug that did it is one of Johnston's stable lads and Dobbo's best mate, all rather sour as it was a terrible studs up tackle! Soured the win for me as i spent 3 hours at hospital with the lad
had his leg broken in 2 places (fib and tib) during a match! Very sad indeed, only 18 and due to join the Army in january!! OUCH!!! Hope he is doing as well as possible GDC Nasty indeed
Good morning all, well just about morning... Hope we all had a good weekend... GDC - Very sad to hear about the young lad, i hope he fully recovers soon. A bitter blow to the lad... Looked through todays cards and cant find much to get me excited about... A couple of Hanagans rides may well come in, he has an good strike rate at Muss, but it will prob be a watching day today... Will take a look in a bit to see if i change my mind tho... Good luck to all who play today...
Would like to throw a tentative e/w selection out there today too, from the Dandy Highwayman stable. Regency Art 10/1- 4.20 Muss Had been off 688 days since a Warwick maiden win for David Elsworth, and shaped not without promise for Dandy Nicholls when making headway and tiring close home. Step up in trip will suit slightly better on pedigree, and already a horse from that race has won off 75. Dropped in class today and should really get involved against an ordinary field.
Top: I was there with Wayward when he ran and thought exactly the same mate Also 450 Muss sees Banksy make his debut for Kevin Ryan with Hanagan tha managan in the plate! Has tried to make all in previous runs for Mr Gosden and i will not be suprised to see him rode differently and take this quite cosily, the yard fancy it
Dan Maybe worth texting Willie back with RVs considered, thought-provoking assessment of Robin Angevin's run yesterday: "That bumper horse of Willies will do well once he goes hurdling - strong pace and be able to pop away over the hurdles will do him the world of good. Stick Townend on him hold him up deliver him to lead at the last - will pick up a couple of weak ones for sure. But for now it can FOOK OFF the knackerless sackless little sod has just cost me a bet" LMFAO
Oddy way ahead of you, sent it yesterday, he replied,,, "Sorry Dan dont want to upset the lads on Not 606 to much as specially as they seem to be plundering the bookies with out my help, tell RV, Pauls on with it as we speak, again sorry and hope the Hoops dont put to many past RVs toon tomorrow, ps may have something special for the bumper as well will text in morning" its on my phone if you dont believe me stay frosty
This horse racing forum is the best around loving all the banter...hope to be on daily...struggling for winners at the moment and cant fancy anything seriously today but will have a small bet on Rain Dance 3.40 Kempton.
Hello lads and welcome Ardent. Why is it every time I take a Monday off to do something,I get hammered on Sunday and am fit for nothing. Anyhow, nothing for me today. It may however be interesting to see how AO'B's Secretary Of State gets on in the nursery at Listowel, the 3.45.The trainer normally runs a decent one in this event. This is the same race that Joshua Tree and Treasure beach were narrowly beaten off 91 and 93 respectively.SOS races off 89 and does look a little more exposed than the two high class colts mentioned. The heavy ground is also an unknown factor. GL all having a go.
Welcome Ardent Just looked at cards and i counted 15 class 6 races if Sir Barney was around today he would surely be waving the no bet flag today.
Odddy and Danbo Islander - but maybe there is "that is a lovely name for a filly by the way" out today ??
Good afternoon ladies and gents. ‎3.15 Listowel The Munster Maori 12/1 This one went into my notebook back in may after appearing incredibly unlucky and I think today he is going to make amends for that unfortunate circumstance. Mick Halford's gelding, after drifting for most of the day, was smashed in from 20s into 10s just before the off. The saddle slipped on the horse a long way out, and despite the jockey being unable to use any form of coercion to get the horse to quicken up, looked the winner all over about a furlong out. However, the saddle slipped all the way to the side and the unfortunate jockey fell off. Although I expected The Munster Maori to win afterwards, he has disappointed on his last 3 starts. However, today he gets ground with a lot of cut in it with his effort that day coming on yielding/soft and his 3 latest runs being on good to firm. Dropping a further 3lb, if he needs softish ground then the 12/1 on offer looks huge for Halford's only runner. Below is the run from that day http://www.attheraces.com/VideoConsole/?va=COR_2011_05_13_03_1840
