Our Moderator has not heard of nationalrail.co.uk and uses me as his b**** to get him around the country on time to games.

After insulting me with dreadful pm's during the week he has pm'd me apologising and wanting to know how to get to Sunderland

If we play Sunderland on a Saturday/midweek night you are not getting out of there to get to York(I am using York as an example as you can get decent accommodation there).

If you want to stay in Newcastle there are plenty of trains on both nights. There are a couple of events going on over the weekend and apparantly hotel prices are astronomical.
