after pasting the gas 4-1 last week, crawley town were humbled 6-0 at morecambe who take over as league leaders with a gd of 13. millers had a handy 3-1 win over the daggers, who lost at hereford last week to stay in 2nd spot
gulls only managed a 0-0 away draw at cobblers which did their promo run no good at all, vale's 2-0 away win at argyle keeps them in touch. afc wimbledon won 1-0 at shots and crewe keep their improvement going with a fine 3-1 win against barnet.
the gas must be kicking themselves conceding a 93rd equalising penalty which keeps them in the nether regions, matty h scored again. gill scored a late equaliser at home to ackers. and this resumee would not be complete without mentioning the shrews gliding into 3rd place, with a gd which compares unfavourably with morecambe and the millers, some attention to this will needed. just keep on winning shrews. 4 wins on the bounce 12 points, cannot ask for better than that!!!

The difference is Jim Bentley as got us playing football the right way. Our defence has tightened up & the players respect him which goes along way towards gaining promotion. We were favourites for the drop but Jim has proved otherwise. I wonder if the bookies see it that way now.<somersault>

Fantastic result for big Jim B and his boys today really pleased for them. This should bring Crawley down to earth a bit and make them realise they will not walk this league and anyone can beat anyone on their day. Another team doing well and were expected to be poor are Cheltenham.

Crawley needed bringing back down to earth. To be fair they played some neat football even when they was 3-0 down they kept going. Jim has made us a stronger outfit hopefully we can continue this form through out the season. Still a very long way to go & it will be one rollercoaster ride. It won't be long before the vultures are swarming down at the Globe for our best players & Jim at this rate.

Thats the problem in league two, win a few and have players score a few goals , someone higher up and bigger come in and pinch the players, thats one reason league two is so hard to get out of.

By next january transfer window our best players will probably be snapped up & Jim will have been offered better money elsewhere & our dreams of promotion will have gone up in smoke. I hope this won't happen but once a team does well as you stated it comes to this.

Cheers. <ok> I hope that we are both up their come the end of the season with Rotherham. More locals teams in league one the better. Still along way to go so not getting carried away until about Feb. if we keep playing the way we are I don't see a reason why not.

It could be alot worse you only after look at Bournemouth fans who are fed up with the chairman after the final whistle against Chesterfield by selling all their best players along with Eddie Howe last season. Hope that does not come back to haunt us.

Is this the same chairman that saved their club not that long ago?

Well, Bournemouths current chairman saved the club from the mire. So, in response to your question I would suggest very important.

I'd say a good chairman is key. Why did someone not cut that radio mike?

i did not think i would have to come on here having to defend chairmen of football clubs. or some of them, we are incredibly
lucky having a well run club by rowland wycherley and his board. we have a stadium and ground that is the envy of the league, and when things need changing rowland is your man. rowland put down that decanter and change that ruddy awful pop art badge, rowland listens, i said rowland will you be told change that ruddy awful badge!

well done rowland you run a great club and have an excellent manager. floreat salopia

I see both points of view from the board & chairman. The fans mainly who pay their money on the gate which if they are playing tosh week in week out I suppose they have a point. Also the chairman has put his hard earned money into the club which he deserves abit of credit but the Bournemouth fans are not interested in the past but only the present. I am glad we have a good chairman not like some who are run the club into the ground like Plymouth. Risdale was at the Globe before he went to Plymouth. Fans were getting abit worried when they saw him but luckly it came to nothing.
