So the reporter got it wrong and Hinkel wasn't predicting Euro success?

I think you need to calm down a bit laddy.

Can you give an example of these mind games working?

You'd need to know the question Hinkel was asked to know what he was referring to. He could have beena asked do you think you can win an away game for all we know?

And Headlines rarely relate to the subject. They are sensationalised to draw in muppets

Player says "I think we can win..." before a game or competition and Medro thinks that's worthy of starting an argument over.

What a complete **** jaw you are.

the best for me is people who criticise boxers for saying shoite before a fight/during the build up

    they expect them to say

'well its for the money, he is going tgo kick my ass, dont know why i am even bothering tbh, guys an animal, hope i make it'

The big games just keep on coming for Weir, who will take part in his 16th Old Firm match at Parkhead this weekend.

"Sunday's a long way away and we have plenty of time to recover but we wouldn't have it any other way," he said.

"I'm sure Celtic would rather be involved in the Champions League as well. We love these [European] games. Sure, it's a quick turn around but we wouldn't change it for the world."

It seems everyones at it <whistle>

Id imainge it was one press conference/open interview and they have all ran with it medro

Regardless what did you expect him to say when questioned?

Woudl you be happy if going into this weekends game steven Davis were to tell an interviewer when asked do you think you can win the old firm game? - "no point turning up - we are ****e, we will get hammered" - woudl it fill you with confidence?

The thing is, the media love a good story like this and usually Rangers have been very good at not running their mouth of before big games or Old Firm matches. Like i said it only acts as in favour of the opposition.

Ferguson and Mourinho were quite good at the mind games but I can't think of that many others that worked, can think of plenty that didn't.

Jock Stein, Bill Shankly, Bob Paisley, Matt Busby etc all used mind games, to some extent, to achieve success. Prove me wrong! <ok>

Samaras countless times, Loovens, Commons, Hinkel etc. all failed with the mind games.
