Adrian Basso 7 Liam Rosenoir 5 Andy Dawson 6 James Chester 8 Jack Hobbs 8 Paul McKenna 7 Robert Koren 5 Tom Cairney 6 Robbie Brady 7 Martyn Waghorn 7 Aaron Mclean 6 Along with a rather uncomplimentary and one-sided match report: http://www.peterboroughtoday.co.uk/...sh_0_hull_1_mclean_goal_beats_posh_1_3044003? The ratings are not that bad, other than they've been excessively harsh on Rosie and their old boy Mclean and I'm not sure Cairney deserved a 6.
Talk is cheap. We got the points with a tired team, we move on! Pompey will be a VERY tough game and with our appauling home form, I'd take a point right now!
McKenna was my MOtM. Suspect the reason Rosie got low marks was that he had a torrid time against Taylor and was frequently rounded. Mind you they did attack in numbers down their left and Rosie could have done with more defensive cover from Brady.
Sounds about right. Maybe a rating lower for Brady and a bit higher fro Cairney. Thought Brady and Rosenior looked poor but i'll put it down to a one off. Basso was class. As good as Chester and Hobbs, in my opinion.
are we headed to another season where every team we play claim that they underperformed against us, or that we were poor and they deserved a win? Bring it on. on Saturday P'Bro did show some nice touches but lacked a cutting edge. On the other hand I thought we controlled the game, made them play to our strengths and with a bit more calmness & better decision making on the counter attack we could have scored a couple more.
I would be happy with "dour, some would say dull, with little time for niceties or attractive football" 1-0 wins in every game this season. Oregeon Tiger has hit the nail on the head
I love it when we beat a team that thinks their commitment to pouring everyone forward at any given opportunity automatically makes them more deserving of victory. Maybe the silly **** should realise that Pearson employed the right tactics, and they suited our team. Ferguson clearly didn't have an answer, hence they took 0 points from the match.
Because we're all chirpy after we lose and we all post one single view of games we see and we always agree with each other? Like OLM says above, at least their local paper actually seems to employ people who give a **** about their club.
Haven't bothered with the HDF today, it'll be all about rugby and two teams getting into the top 8. Yip ****ing dee. If anyone got it, what was their ratings for the city player, they'll be unbiased seeing as they don't really care.
amazed cairney got a 6, the lads got talent but he needs to show it. to slow and weak on saturday for me. Hobbs, chester and mckenna stood out for me. But its a squad game and those who came on made up for those who didnt shine and thats the secret of success, no one can perform well every week
You have to employ someone who gives a fair analysis of the game, that quote about Pearson is horrendous. If the HDM described an opposition manager like that we'd all be going mad on here. Strangely, the player ratings look pretty fair to me, despite the clear bias of the match report
Good to see a journalist not blinded my Nigel's fantastic achievement of winning League 1 on a Championship budget.
