Two former City youths lined up for Harrogate Town tonight. Ryan Fallowfield, now playing as a left back, played 90 minutes, while keeper Joe Cracknell was on the bench. Harrogate lost 3-1 to AFC Fylde (who go through to the semi finals of the playoffs against Solihull Moors), but have got to be pleased with their performance this season as a newly promoted club.
Congratulations to Brid Town winning the East Riding Seniors cup, they have had a good season all told, finishing 3rd in their league NCEL Premier division.
The Academy can confirm its end-of-season retained list following the conclusion of the 2018/19 campaign. Four of the current crop of second-year Scholars have signed their first professional contracts for next season: Harrison Foulkes, Jacob Greaves, Matty Jacob and Jay Rouse. However, the following players will be allowed to leave the Academy when their Scholarships expire at the end of June: Ben Adamson, Jake Nicholls, Will Taylor and Dan Hawkins. The Club has made new contract offers to five members of the Under-23 Development squad: Ahmed Salam, Billy Chadwick, Lewis Ritson, Charlie Andrew and Jordan Hickey. The following players will see their time with the Club come to an end when their current contracts expire at the end of this season: Josh Thacker, Elliot Holmes, Tom Powell, Josh Hesson and Callum Smith.
