Quality. He should have talked about unrealistically chasing the moon like Spurs Boyz II Men manager.
Mate they've put in a shift tonight. Then they've got the 2nd leg to think about. Newcastle are playing well and imo have goals in them. It's possibly their best time to play Livpl.
Long weekend ahead and if we beat them and City win on Monday I can be having fun conversations by Tuesday
Dr David: Liverpool are out of their depth. Lots of work to be done if they want to be serious contenders for domestic and European competitions. (Tweet to BBC Football Live) Exactly.
This is what worries me about that sack of spunk. Sorry @haslam @JakartaToon , I hope is loyalty lies with with his current club.
A couple of weeks ago I'd have genuinely given us a good chance of getting a result (we've beaten better than the at home this season) but we've lost half our only good players really now (Perez, Almiron) and the semi-decent ones too (Diame, Lascelles, Lejeune, Longstaff). I can't see us scoring really. That said, if Liverpool are as good in the final third as they were tonight maybe 0-0...
Irrespective of anything else people say/think about Rafa he's pretty professional and wont let his emotions get in the way of doing what needs to be done for his current team. Fact.
Mike Connolly: Do wonder if that Dembele miss might come back to haunt them. Roma did it last year. If Liverpool come out and get 1 or 2 early goals at Anfield then we have a ball game. (Tweet to BBC Football Live) Oh, for fcuksake!
