Went to see my Dad today at the Chapel of Rest. Pretty bizarre experience seeing his body in a coffin. It's like it wasn't really him tbh, but more like a husk or a shell.

Funeral next weds. Can't say I'm looking forward to that as such, but it will provide some closure to the events of the last few months, and I'm looking forward to seeing loads of old family etc.

I did that with my Grandad, very strange experience. Hope it goes as well as it can though mate and he gets a good send off.

I know you obviously will anyway but it's after the funeral that you need to make sure your Mum is okay, as after the funeral is when everyone's life goes back to normal so to speak except hers.

I was there with my Dad when he died, so I didn't feel any real need to go and see his body, but did it more to support my mum. Strange experience really, it just looked like somebody had made a really lifelike mannequin of my Dad.

And thanks mate. I'll make sure the old dear is okay. My brother and me are planning a holiday to Switzerland for her with her sister. So she's got something to look forward to. But yeah, I'm here to keep an eye on her and make sure she's okay.

Yeah I know you would anyway, not sure why I mentioned it really just musing I suppose, good shout on the holiday though <ok>

And yeah I kind of regretted doing it as its a strange experience like you say but I think I'd prefer that to not doing it and always regretting that, if that makes sense.

Spot on. Why can't the half headed, cum faced ****** get a job?

I mean a proper job, not one of those jobseekers, window licking things.
