    Spurs 1-0 then Spurs 2-0... 89th miniute then Ajax 2-1, Ajax 2-2

    Agg: 3-2 Ajax through.

Beat them away and we are through...it’s happened before

As soon as a first teamer was back in...ie Sissoko, them little Bambinos went into their shell..Sonny boy back up top next week and we’ve got a real chance. City are streets ahead of this Ajax team and we put 3 past them

    Not too concerned yet

    Yeah, agreed.

Everybody’s ****ing emselves dry over this Ajax side. Yes, they’re good, but they ain’t that good. I agree with you, I think City would have beaten them last night.

It’s not Spursy. Why this bollocks gets trotted out every time we lose is so boring and predictable.

We started with our tactics wrong. Add in the fact that this is a paper thin squad running on fumes and that we were missing both Son and Kane and the result wasn’t surprising. The second half was much better and showed we can cause them problems.

If, and it’s a big if, we can recoup enough energy to go at them as we did with City, there’s still a chance for us.

No mate ... they are very good ... they carved the Spurs defence apart at will, much as they did against Real and Juve ... the next leg will be about keeping them out, as much as it will be about who is back for Spurs ...

They cut our defence up in the first 30 mins because we did exactly what you don’t do against this side - sit back and let them play. If you do that they’ll pick you to pieces. You have to get in their faces and push them back, which we did in the second half.

As soon as Sissoko came on and we had forward impetus from the midfield...Ajax weren’t doing much.

It’s key for us to have our best players back...like I keep on saying City are streets ahead of this Ajax team and they didn’t scare us.

    Let’s see what happens

You are still in it without question .... but they came closest to scoring again ...and after Sissoko came on

Poch has a dilemma, who does he leave out for Son? ... I thought Llorente caused them quite a few problems, but some pundits (talkSport this morning) are saying he was ineffective <doh>

Its just something you need to live with until you boys win a free things. Sir Alex did a great job describing you boys

Your spursiness is similar to how we are a Russian play thing with blood on our hands

You definitely have a chance. You just need to win the game and you are through. Ajax have never gone into a game as faves and i think that could count against them.

I think it will come down to who poch starts on the weekend because i think you have played too many games and some of your players are blowing

No brainier for me tbh. Son is fantastic player.

Llorente just doesn't offer what Son does

    Spurs best player imho

Alli. Having his poorest season at Spurs and in the last few games has been shocking. Dropping him might give him the kick up the arse he needs. I also thought Llorente done ok but no one was running off him to win the second ball once he won a header.

For the away leg I'd wanna see:

    Hugo
    Foyth, Toby, Jan, Rose
    Wanyama, Sissoko
    Lucas, Eriksen, Son
    Llorente
