A trip to see Turn And Face The Strange..the Mick Ronson story... is well worth a visit. Its on again at Hull Truck in a couple of months. They finish off with a rousing rendition of All The Young Dudes!

Just watched the film The Mick Ronson Story.

"after he played on the Bob Dylan tour when they were handing out the pay cheques Mick got a bill"

I've got a load of Buffins drumsticks tfrom Malcolm's - they kept sticking them in the low polystyrene ceiling on the stage and then proceeded to rip the ceiling down - they were then banned from appearing there again
I was there
Ian Hunter was singing Honkey Tonk Women and walked into the crowd and grabbed me around the neck and stuck a mike in my face and got me to sing the chorus

Went last weekend and it was indeed well worth the visit. Fills in many of the blanks in the stories of Bowie, Ian Hunter and indeed some Lou Reed. Great show and great story telling by the old band members that knew Mick.

The old bloke in the front wearing a ball cap with his back to the stage looks particularly uninterested.
Look, out for the new Scorseesee doc on net flix for the rolling thunder review and mick Ronson due out in June. Could fill a few nights till kick, off next season

Cheers, I know they played Brid but Doncaster twice and not Hull seems a bit strange, didn't Bowie used to go to Duke in Ferriby with Mick Ronson as well?
