Been watching a few movies/series lately.

    Equaliser 2 - wasn’t bad but I wouldn’t watch it again.

Venom - Thought it was a bit ‘Deadpooly’ so I liked that one.

    Widows - ****e. Utter ****e.

And GOT S8 - awesome. Won’t post spoilers.

I’m a third of the way through The Man in the High Castle. I don’t tend to do series as they are too big a commitment but I always fancied watching it. I didn’t know that we had Amazon Prime until recently. It’s right up my street from a storyline perspective but some of the dialogue and acting is ****e.

Yeah, definitely don't go near Cornwall.

You wouldn't get near it in a weekend anyway!

Snowdonia would be a proper schlep from there too. Brecon Beacons best bet travel wise but there's **** all there to be fair.

    Will you?

In a 'let's just leave the M4 and take a detour through the Cotswolds this bank holiday, there's unlikely to be any other traffic' scenario?

What's your plan anyway; camping, hotel or just a day out?
    How long have you got?

We need more info to properly advise.

Think I'm going to drive round brecon beacons and do a few hikes. Will drive m4 (not strictly gojng through cotswolds) fri night. Probs stay somewhere near tewkesbury. Then do the rest next day .stay a couple of nights and leave monday.

Maybe take a quick trip to a sma town outside Cardiff (caephilly? Or pontyprydd my mate said one of those cant remember which) and drive back Monday

Ah right, now we're getting somewhere.

    Where you staying in Beacons?

I would avoid Pen y Fan unless you go up via a quiet route, it's busy as **** on a normal weekend let alone a BH, there is nowhere to park at the base of the easy routes.

Pontypridd is not a day out or even an hours visit in anyone's book but there is a very nice castle at Caerphilly so perhaps he means there.

Abergavenny, Crickhowell, Hay on Wye and Brecon itself all nice little towns to spend some time in.
