Due to the imminent return of our cousins to the C/Ship after yet another unsuccessful attempt to emulate us , who is going to be the first to welcome them back to where they belong ( really its league 1 but hi ho I'm sure they'll reach there one day ) or am I tempting fate
Hang on, with Solskjaer in charge of United, you never know what the final day of the season will bring
Man United must beat Chelsea today, and if that happens they will be going all out for a win against Cardiff as they can make top 4.
No need to welcome me back, I've been here all the time. One thing though....we've gained promotion to the Premiership more times than you lot. for obvious reasons....but every statistic has a grain of truth and a whole load of interpretation. We won't be having a summer sale either. But I guess you will have a few boys on the flea market table.
Yes you have won two promotions whoopty doo, but we've only been relegated once and its looking likely that you'll exceed that figure as well . Maybe we will have a summer sale but then again I suppose we have valuable assets that are worth selling .
I did say the stats were subject to interpretation. Got to say, I don't anticipate a garage sale by us. We have a few players getting on a bit but the general opinion is we bought Championship players (by mistake?) and hopefully we have relegation clauses in place to bring the wages in line. Not sure what the ratio of wages to income will be but I am certain it will not be at your astronomic levels. We've also got a box of frogs owner who is not rushing to take money out and even put some in!!!! Maybe we'll buy one or two of your better assets? Our challenge is if our manager wants to say and if we want to have him. Personally, I'd keep him for a year and a promise to give him Director of Football after and groom a replacement now. Do you think your guy might be wiling to move down the coast a bit?
About a year ago i said we are coming for you. Then u went and got relegated. This time we really are coming for you. Potter has done a Brilliant job. Your probably 3 players short of a play off challenge taking into account James is off. Plus youve got a 20 goal a season striker. The flip side is a sell off and your a few players sold away from the lower leagues. Im fairly confident we will be somewhere in the top 8. Race is on to be the next Welsh side back in the PL. Pretty confident it wont be Cewnty. The Summer is going to be interesting.
Potter is the one that will be the hardest to keep , the way he's developed the youngsters who in all honesty wouldn't have had a sniff at the 1st team should we have stayed up last year has been the most pleasing . Most of the 1st team are at present C/Ship players so with the exception of James (who is still a way of the finished product ) who but another C/Ship Club are they going to go to , we need to rebuild as you will so yes an interesting summer ahead but an enjoyable season to look back on .
Well he knows more about it and would make a better one than your most recent incumbent!!!! He has the know-how for the Championship, without a doubt.
Why the cheap shot? I’m not sure Jenkins has any relevance to the post. There has been plenty of Cardiff fans wanting to dump Warnock, not make him Director of Football.
Trouble is, as history has shown he's extremely limited , blood and guts gets and playing for the shirt doesn't equate to success, what games this season have you won because of his tactical nous ? He's a dinosaur but if you're happy who are we to judge
Didn't think it was a cheap shot...….but I'll take it!!!!! NW is like marmite but I have a lot of respect in that he achieved the seemingly impossible last season. Maybe not covered himself in glory this time but the budget has been extremely limited and the promotion probably happened too soon. It IS painful where we are but, as many have said all over the place, maybe the Championship is more fun and that's a silver lining. It won't stop the drive to get back up though, I suppose. The interminable treadmill of success/failure is ever with us.
I dont find it painful at all. The aim was obviously to try and stay up on a limited budget pocket the cash and have a squad capable of bouncing straight back. You also cant blame the budget. Every single summer signing has not been a regular starter and some have barely featured. NW clearly works better with frees and lower fees. I can see at least 2 Cardiff players next season finding their way down west by the way.
