Sacre Dieu, what a result! Prescription pain-killers for Man. City fans? Erm, what's this got to do with Bayern München, Kenny? I certainly hope I am well-wrong, but for some strange reason I cannot fancy either of the two English clubs left in. Has to be Barcelona now, with Ajax still very much a dark horse, just cannot figure out the latter club, have loads of young talent, that is for sure. They could be anything.
In my twisted and unbalanced thoughts I 'hoped' that if Leroy Sane played no part in this fine match it may have unsettled this fine young specimen of Teutonic manhood and he might have fancied a wee trip 'home'. I quite fancy Liverpool for the Champion's League. It is a real shame that this Ajax squad will not be given a further two or three years to grow before being 'raped' by the 'big' European clubs (mine hopefully included). The names of the Monaco players from a few years ago are dotted about the teams who made the knock-out rounds of this year's Champion's League. On more important 'footie' matters that's my guts started rolling already in advance of the weekend's Bundesliga matches!
Wayne Henessey's defence of his nazi salute must be in line for some sort of award. Comical. He put his arm out to attract the photographs attention apparently and his hand across his mouth to amplify his voice. He didn't cup his hand around his mouth but horizontally across his top lip. He didn't know what a nazi salute was and is now desperate to learn about the nazis.
It really is cringeworthy. Front up and admit it, take the rap on the knuckles and move on. They really are a strange little club with ideas way above their station.
Man Utd 11/2 at home to City, scandalous that a club like them should ever be that price at home to anyone.
Even with that horrible game against Everton fresh in their minds, surely they can lift their form a bit. They're still 6th on the ladder so it hasn't been a shocker of a season. City are clearly going better, but 11-2 seems a bit on the juicy side. I can see how a fan might have a few shekels on them at that price.
Hey Kenny how are you liking Dortmund’s self-destruction? That must really hurt in the derby match at home to Schalke, losing 1-3 and down to 9 men. That just about gift-wraps the title for Bayern
In constant F'book messaging with ex work colleague who, before slumming it with HM Revenue & Customs, taught 'English' in Austria. He is loving this as a supporter of Die Konigsblauen. I suspect he is in a bit of a quandary as, like all fans of other German clubs, he does not like (despises/hates) FC Bayern. Possibly needed this result as our final two matches are: Away to RB Leipzig Home to Eintracht Frankfurt Goodness knows what BVB and their supporters will do now as FCB will strengthen considerably in the summer.
Yes, cannot see Bayern being beaten for the Bundesliga title now. Dortmund losing to Schalke, for God's sake, the latter a club and fans, for reasons unknown, I absolutely detest. Digressing downwards, many fathoms in fact, I can see QPR getting a final hammering in their last game of the season against Sheffield Wednesday. Very lucky to remain in the second tier of English football; only because Rotherham seem to be almost or just as bad? Cannot understand why the Owls don't do better. Surely they're not short of the ready as they have a huge fan following. To pull Oddy's leg as he loves to use the word, but maybe there's not enough 'passion' up there?
We seem to be a pretty mixed bunch at the moment Swanny and I know Steve Bruce will be having a big clear out in the summer. Too many players on silly wages who haven’t performed (or haven’t even been fit to perform). I’m amazed we even got close to the playoffs, given where we were at Christmas but I think Steve Bruce is a good manager and hopefully we can be thereabouts next season. Whilst I’m on (and this might be one for the moan thread) this financial fair play legislation is getting on my bloody nerves. Every season in the championship you have relegated teams with their Sky millions, how is that fair? We have a wealthy chairman but the days of throwing lavish sums at the club a la Abramovich or the Arabs at Citeh are long gone.
What a cowardly, bullying, and utterly arrogant prat this Zlatan Ibrahimovic is. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/48098700 Well, he's nearing 40, so I guess he'll be returning to the Malmö mafia one of these days?
The word I would use to describe him starts with a "c" and rhymes with "punt" (keeping it topical with a racing/gambling reference)
We could use the same word to describe Alex Hales. This sounds to have been handled badly by the ECB but how his team think they can now trying to portray him as a victim is beyond me. The run up to the first World cup in this country in 20 years and he's off puffing or snorting? Yeah - what a truly great professional he is...
Yep it was only a few months ago he was telling the cricketing media how he'd really learned his lesson following the Bristol fracas. Cretin
Should have beaten FC Bayern by two in The Allianz and have defeated Real Madrid and Juventus in the away legs of the previous knock out rounds so no surprise! One of the FCB chit-chat sites I sometimes contribute to has stated that Rummenigge is closely following the career path of Erik ten Hag (Ajax coach) who has stated his future is based on which players will stay in Amsterdam for next season. Still forty five minutes to go!
Not over yet but looks as though I could be right for a change. Barcelona and Ajax in the final certainly looks on the cards atm. Unfortunately never bet on football…..
