I never thought i'd say this but if you want quality analysis and debate listen to Gary Neville on sky. He's far better at that than actually playing!

Some of us would rather listen to Claridge than pay to have SKY. But thank you for the info. No we know what we're missing. ;)

phil neville was on football focus and was even better than his brother! david james came across badly in my opinion, his dry sense of humour is not suited to tv!

I saw him coming out of a bookies in Fareham a few years ago, he's still got a place in Titchfield I believe

We certainly won't be mentioned on the show next week, apart from in passing as we're not playing 'til Sunday; no change there then

Claridge really isn't that bad. He's always complimentary about Saints on that show, and usually he talks sense. He's a far better pundit than he was a player.

Think we are being a tad sensitive. I agree in general the media aren't paying us much attention, but only the West Ham match had longer coverage than us on the League Show.

Well as we all think he is plain awful at punditry he must have been a pretty poor footballer. I don't think I ever saw him play as most of my football watching has been of top clubs. Did he play for any one half decent or was he one of those players who looks half good in a very poor side?

I always record it and skip though to the Saints bit in the morning. Got nothing against the program or its presenters. They always seem pretty fair to me. Much prefer Claridge to Shearer on MOTD. He really is the most boring TV pundit ever.

Watch it on iPlayer next morning, you can skim through it until you find the Saints game. I certainly can't be bothered to stay up for what is at the most going to be 4 or 5 minutes even in the miraculous event of us having the featured game.

In terms of media attention, I am very glad that Brighton are getting it and not us. It will suit Nigel's and Nicola's plans much better if we just quietly sneak along under everyone's radar. As someone said on another thread, most teams so far this season don't look as though they have bothered to do much research on Saints, let's hope it stays that way!

Yes, if you turned off the set immediately after our coverage, they finished a group of 4-5 matches, then came back to Steve and Maniche for comment. They quickly summed up the other games, then both commented on how well Brighton and Saints are doing. They also showed Rickie's hat-trick again, and Claridge made the observation that Lambert reminds him of Grant Holt in some ways. I can't see it myself, but he must be referring to a very specific part of Rickie's play there. They then closed the Saints coverage by Maniche wishing Dan Seaborne well, on behalf of TFLS.

In truth, we had more comment and coverage than Brighton got this week. Yes, that's rare, but true. Don't believe me, then watch it on iPlayer.

Careful with your sweeping generalisations, St Godders. I actually think Claridge is a reasonable pundit and so do several posters on here. And that's not another sweeping statement either, as several posters have mentioned they think so too.
