Ignore the whole no standing **** in most grounds...flags not over the exits.. no flares.. saying that youre always going to get a twat who isnt able to use a flare properly
It was more of a smoke grenade than a flare . I might be in the minority but I wasn't arsed one way or the other . I wasn't offended like the bloke behind me who nearly started crying but at the same didn't think it was all that clever . I can't see how setting off a purple smoke grenade lifted the atmosphere either . CS would have been more interesting .
The words 'pot', 'kettle' and 'black' spring to mind. I couldn't give less of a ****. They're used on the continent more often than not, and with few - if any - problems. The fact that they are outlawed is half of the problem, and it's self-perpetuating. What the **** does "could of" mean?
pot kettle black, meh i'm more than happy dragging a couple of muppets down to my level sweetheart, thats the ****ing point! keep it up. your fun too ffs why don't they learn whos fooling who?
I can see us having to lock the wendy house and cover up the sand pit for a bit if you can't play nicely together.
bollocks.they see my nick don't add anything to the thread(hence i'm now asking for thier opinions) and call me a ****.nah if they don't like me advise them to ignore me or ban me.
you may be in the minority on this board, but without doubt, the real City fans who attebded yesterday, couldnt give a s""t either. Creativity and inventiveness will restore the atmosphere at all grounds....
A smoke bomb isn't creative or inventive though, it's just ******ed. Probably thrown by a moron who usually stands in E1.
I agree with the first bit at least anyway..... Why do it? Think logically for a second here, did us City fans sing any louder cause of it yesterday? No. Did it create an up lifting atmosphere? No. Did it distract the attention from a great away performance away from the pitch and onto something stupid? Yes. To me i can't see why you would want to let someone throw something onto the pitch, i just don't get it. I am all for singing during a game, i love a great atmosphere as much as a great match but i just can't see why that really helped. If someone can prove a logical arguement for it of course i will admit i am wrong. I just can't see the logic behind it.
The kid was celebrating the goal with a smoke bomb. Im sure you will have set off some sort of pyro to celebrate an event?
If we're trying to draw comparisons will he have ever intentionally taken some sort of pyro onto the property of someone who didn't want it there and then illegally set it off to celebrate something?
and the danger was? God forbid, wooden rattles and air horns are allowed in the future, after those 'all' those related accidents of the past! I would nt suggest smoke bombs become a regular fixture of course, but sometimes change is driven by new ideas believe it or not. Incidentally, I also might suggest that the fence of shame outside the Circle and the ensuing scramble to exit the ground over the bridge towards Argyle Street presents a bigger potential for danger. The warning signs from ibrox and dare I say Hillsborough are obvious.
and danger did it cause to life or limb. The lady behind me was hit squarely in the face and hurt badly by a misdirected shot in the warm-up. Ban the culprit! "Sorry Mr Waghorn, the police and the Hull Daily Mail have decided that you are danger to the public", or even better let's ban the pre-match warm-up! Tut tut tut. Bleedin' hearts and hypocritical narrrow minds are the biggest danger to our lifestyle
Another of the pleasures of being close to the action on the terracing! My son and I were behind the goal and one of the stewards warned us to "be alert to shots missing the goal" at the start of the warmup. I told him he must have seen us play before. On the smoke bomb? Didn't really bother me either way. I've been to games where a lot more than one have been let off and I haven't seen anyone injured by one yet. Whoever it was could have at least got the right colour though.
While I wasn't too impressed by it been thrown on to the pitch, I agree with you Oregon, they could have at least got a flare that was our colours!!!!!!!!!!
