Given how good a footballer he is and how little he has looked like an assured PL centre half, it's disappointing that it's taken this long to give him time elsewhere on the pitch.

I've been saying for over a year that the kid's got the making of a very good central midfielder and it seems that he's a very decent full back too. If we don't get Winksy or Moussa back for Tuesday, we could play him centrally? It's not happening at all for Dele in there and we're going to need him to support Lucas.

The semi-final reminds me of the Final games against Anderlecht with a lot of injuries and some big names missing...

So we win on penalties after extra time and I nearly die when the car I'm travelling in hit a huge puddle at 60mph and spins through 360 ° narrowly missing an oncoming double decker........ that was a night to remember <laugh>

Terrible days football watched us lay down for the spammers in the pub before going to Gillingham and seeing them do the same for Charlton!

Nothing inpspiring in our performance at all, Foyth excepted. and now all the spammers have come out of the woods and gloating all over social media.

All I need now is some idiot suggest that we don't miss our centre forward in matches like the two we have had this week.

You can probably add Lloris to that too. For all the moaning there’s been about him this season, he was outstanding today.

You are quite right, he has had far more good days than bad this season, but as a keeper the mistakes are remembered more than the matches where you 'do your job well' and he was excellent today and in fact in both matches with the spammers, he was instrumental in us getting 3 pts at their place.

Lloris has too many brain farts. On his day he’s as good as anyone.

Think outstanding is a tad OTT. Made one good save and one half decent one. More or less to be expected of a keeper in my opinion. Still managed to kick the ball into touch once whilst also playing a silly ball to Sanchez who was already being closed down.

Perhaps. But I counted 3 or 4 opportunities where he made crucial saves to stop us going further behind.
Yes, there was one poor piece of distribution, and some easier saves, but he hardly put a foot wrong.

Thought there was one good save. The rest routine.

I couldn't help but notice Twitter assuming KWP not starting means he's not long for the team

Do people not remember last season's Season Killer Cup game against the Scammers where he started? He was outmuscled for pretty much every 50/50 challenge, with Antonio in particular getting a lot of joy at his expense as he was bullying him all match long

If there's one thing KWP needs to do above all if he wants to improve his chances of more minutes it's add some muscle to his frame so he isn't treated as a soft touch by the more physical opponents while also improving his chances if he does get into a tussle on the byline, after all look at photos of Harry Winks from two seasons ago compared to now and you'll see how much time he put in at the gym

That's the thing with Foyth: he's certainly been hitting the gym since last season because, even though he's not as hench as Toby or Davos, he's certainly not as lanky as he was last season

BTW...as disappointing as today's result was it was more than made up for by seeing Glenn Hoddle looking so well at HT.
Most of my childhood good memories were tied up with him in the spurs team winning promotion and developing into the early 80s team.
So glad he is doing so well.

We should've asked him to play, wouldn't have been worse than Son or Alli today.

Agree though, was good seeing him. About the only good thing in fact.

Apart from the one that put Son into a position that Kane would have scored from. But who needs Kane eh?

Garbage performance with a poor team selection, for me.
Two forwards that are good on counters against a team that we're not going to be countering often?
Then when we do, it's the slowest, most predictable play that you've ever seen. Awful.

Llorente and Son should've started with Janssen and Moura on the bench or we should've gone four at the back.
Rose and Davies with two right-backs in reserve and a centre-half playing right-back was just odd.
I think that Pochettino had one eye on the semi-final and tried something strange, which didn't work.

It was obvious towards the end of the first half that our energy levels were draining. At half time, I felt that the first team to score would win it. They came out with far more energy and adrenaline than we had shown all game. Through very very gritted teeth, I have to concede that they probably deserved their win. But what a horrible bunch of fans they are. Their behaviour in the streets afterwards was disgusting and to see so many cops standing around doing nothing was shameful.

I didn't see any of them afterwards, thankfully. Some of their songs were a little strange during the game, though.
"You know what you are..." something about Europe "you know what you are"? Lost me with that one.
Attempting to reverse the, "You're not West Ham any more", song was pathetic, too. Just doesn't work, I'm afraid.

We are going to sing 'you know who you are' to Mike Dean when he pays his first visit. Was it a play on that? A knock at Poch?
