Top scorer Big Ern 10 points for a correct prediction. I doubt he will predict again in the league and will therefore remain at the bottom of the table for the rest of the season. A small consolation. Top Spurs scorers Blue and White* and OnlyOneDB with 5 points. Nobody else scored anything, the first division remains nearly the same as it was before the game. 4 failed to predict. Just two prediction games left will Rocky do it? I dreamt about this game last night. We drew 0-0. Trippier failed with a simple 10 yard square ball in the area to Lucas in the 87th minute, which went behind him, and fecked up our chance to win the game. 0-0 from Mystic Roo. You’re welcome.
Spurf: Unfortunately I should also get 5 points. I am willing to forgo them in return for a more favourable result.
0-0 - Law of averages its got to happen sometime and this is probably the least likely fixture for a score less draw!
Well, there were two challengers who raised their heads over the parapet. First Spurlock, who was really trying to raise the bar (or get to it?) with his suggested lyrics. Sorry, Spurlock, but it isn’t really within my linguistic, musical, or (dare I say it?) philosophical range! Nice try, though - reminds me that my taste is not totally catholic. Spurs Disciple, on the other hand, threw out a casual flick of the wrist and delivered Solbury Hill, Peter Gabriel’s rhythmically challenging but tuneful offering from 1977. I couldn’t resist that challenge. Here’s my attempt. And I’m indebted to you, SD, for enlightening me at long last. I’d always thought it was Salisbury Hill! Playing Ajax, lost 1-0, Disappointment Tuesday night. But we’re in the CL still – Saturday we’ll get it right. Needing Son’s elusive swerve Gives us reason to rejoice. Stopping, twisting, showing nerve, And he would be our nat’ral choice. Saturday we need determination – ’Gainst Bournemouth use imagination! Attack’s going Boom! Boom! Boom! “Son,” we’ll say, “do your thing, Although we’re not at home!” Just one more win, then, nicely timed – If Dele Alli shifts his butt, Foyth at right back looking fine – Top four door will soon be shut! So we know the way to play. Now it’s time to show some guts! Even though we play away, We shall make the final cut. Seaside Hampshire’s leafy scenery Will not stir that Spurs has-been-ery. Attack’s going Boom! Boom! Boom! “Hey!” we’ll say, “We’ll all sing When next we play at home!” (Hey! Back home!) No illusions linger yet. We’re right up where we want to be! Moura puts one in the net And I think that we’ll get three. Then Llorente’s pirouette Precedes the goal we long to see! Bournemouth now will start to fret. Sonny scores one finally. Sunday we shall see Em’ry’s face bent - You all know what securing third place meant! Spurs fans going Boom! Boom! Boom! “Hey!” we’ll say, “We’re just relaxing! Last game’s in our new home!” Prediction: Bournemouth 1 Spurs 3 Scorers: Llorente, Moura, Son Cheers, Spurf!
Sorry about the double spacing. Don;t know where it came from. Not on the provisional reply below, before I posted it!
Lambert Hendricks & Ross might pose a challenge Audrey For those who don't know L H & R copy an instrumental jazz piece, turn all the parts into lyrics. So on this track Annie Rosss is singing the saxophone solo (note for note)
