During my wife’s oncology appointment, yesterday, her oncologist revealed that there had been an upsurge in hospital admissions, taking the hospital to full capacity. Never a good time to need hospitalisation, but even less so this weekend.
https://onthewight.com/isle-of-wights-derek-sandy-on-britains-got-talent-this-saturday/ The Island's Derek Sandy on BGT tonight...makes me smile...reggae song about the beauty of the Island. He almost makes me think its a tropical paradise.
Bless him,bet he's loving it on holibobs with dad......good choice of location BTW it's lovely there.
A male model died after tripping at the Sao Paulo Fashion week....looking at the photo, his feet were just tied on top of a pair of trainers. Why? People in the real world just wear shoes. Not the first time a model has tripped because of ridiculous shoes...daft waste of a life.
Spoiler: GoT Well, @tomw24 I think your wish for bloodshed might just be satisfied with this episode! That was just awesomely brutal. Lyanna Mormont is just amazing! Oh, and Arya
Woman conned out of hundreds of thousands by online fraudster. I feel a tiny bit sorry for her, but seriously, did she really think that Jason Statham was having money worries and needed her help? Also, did it not look odd to her that a very British actor was messaging her like English was their second language? Whenever I read stories like this, my first thought is always how the **** did this complete moron actually accumulate that amount of money to lose in the first place? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-47969165 Am I being harsh here?
I agree in the sense that my alarm bells would go off as soon as anyone switched from friendly chatting to asking for money. However, even morons don't deserve to be cheated. The internet sadly exposes them to more crooks. A friend found after her father died that he had been targeted....was parting with hundreds of pounds to fraudsters and lots of charities every month. He couldn't seem to resist begging letters. I had an e-mail last week from an African gentleman wanting my assistance to move money.....I was beginning to feel left out.
I didn't say she deserved to be conned, I'm just always surprised that someone so gullible would have the wherewithal to actually give away huge amounts of money. I'm also rather surprised that someone who has access to the internet does not do a bit of checking up and would soon realise that the real JS lives with his partner and young child in Hollywood and probably isn't going to be sending begging letters to sad randoms through Facebook. I don't get many scam emails from Nigerian royalty, but I enjoy them when I do get them and try to have as much fun as possible before they break off contact
As he's quite a well known actor, yes I have, however the scammer was using WhatsApp - did you read any of the transcripts?
Spoiler: GoT Thousands of Dothraki warriors killed in about 30 seconds, but then all our fave characters were able to kill scores of undead for the rest of the episode. Thought this one was kind of meh. Tried to fit way too much in. Got a bit Lord of the Ringsy. With such an awesome build up over seven seasons the writers gave themselves a practically impossible job with this episode.
Spoiler: GoT Disagree totally. The Dothraki being killed made Daenerys deviate from the plan, and everything looked lost once the Night King faced her down and brought all the slain back. Right up until Arya did her thing there was absolutely no guessing what was going to happen with all the different little plot lines going on. Best episode ever, and now it’s Cersei’s turn!
Spoiler: GoT Yeah I get the reason for the Dothraki thing. But it wasn't realistic having them killed off so quickly. I was also disappointed by the lack of action from any of the White Walkers. Would have loved to see them in actual combat, but they just walk around doing nothing. Also, where exactly did Arya jump from to kill the Night King? And how did Jorah suddenly teleport outside the castle having previously retreated inside with everyone else? And why did it have to be so bloody dark? Could hardly make anything out for the first 20 mins or so. I'd give this episode 6/10 overall, it was nowhere close to Red Wedding, Hardhome, Blackwater, Watchers on the Wall, or basically any episode from season 4.
