Darren Moore has moved from second to odds on favourite in last few hours... Any reason Sent from my STF-L09 using Tapatalk
War Warburton must have turned us down and Nigel Pearson is under sedation after having bitten a Rottweiler which looked at him in a funny way.
Why not try Australia? We know fcuk all about football so the candidate would be a perfect match with senior management of the club.
what about Justin Edinburgh. Currently at non league Leyton Orient (who could get promotion today), he has also led Newport County to promotion. He would know what it is like to manage clubs without money. I believe he also managed Gillingham but had no success there.
SPORT QPR next manager: There's a new odds on favourite for Loftus Road job The former Baggies boss has been out of work for around six weeks By Joseph Chapman 13:34, 27 APR Darren Moore is now the odds-on favourite to take over at Queens Park Rangers. The former West Brom boss was sacked by Albion last month after the 1-1 draw at The Hawthorns last month, and has been in talks with the Hoops, who parted company with Steve McClaren earlier this month. Former Villa boss Tim Sherwood, ex-Rangers coach Mark Warburton and former Sheffield Wednesday manager Carlos Carvalhal are all in the mix with the bookmakers, but now it’s Moore who is the outright favourite. “We’ve spoken to Darren,” QPR director of football Les Ferdinand confirmed earlier this week. “I’ve been impressed with Darren and what he did at West Brom but we’re compiling that list and trying to be diligent in what we do, to do our homework.” Further afield on the list of potential McClaren replacements are former Albion coach and Leicester boss Nigel Pearson, and also ex-Baggies manager Alan Pardew. Pardew hasn’t been back in management since being sacked by Albion in April of last year. QPR next manager odds (Sky Bet) Darren Moore: 4/6 Mark Warburton: 2/1 Tim Sherwood: 8/1 Gareth Ainsworth: 16/1 Carlos Carvalhal: 20/1 Marc Bircham: 20/1 Nigel Pearson: 20/1
Not sure about Darren Moore. Has he built his own team, lasted a tough season in the Championship, got promotion? Is he a real manager or just another hopeful coach? We’ve had our fair share of coaches and I’d include McClaren in that list.
Whoever it is from that list I'll once again be underwhelmed to the point of my whelm dropping off...
Probably because bookies like to shorten and lengthen odds based on flimsy (or no) evidence to gain more profit from the mugs who bet on new managers.
All gone a bit quiet over the weekend re our next manager, anyone heard anything or saw a potential manager at the game Saturday?
I wouldn't be surprised if they haven't managed to actually sell the role to any candidates. Well, not at least to anyone serious or worthwhile.
They should wait until the season is over now, then give it a further few weeks to look at the fallout at other clubs. No point in rushing now, is there?
