Yeah, I can cope with Liverpool winning the league anyway. Klopp has a great approach to the game, which shows itself in the way that team plays football. You’d have to be very mean spirited to genuinely begrudge their success. But if, as I suspect, both they and City fail to drop anymore points, that will be good too; well done Liverpool for making a real fight of it, tough luck, now **** off.
Sometimes doing the right thing regardless of consequences, is a win in itself - even, or especially, if it comes at a cost.
Agreed you couldn't begrudge them if they win it. Don't understand why people hate Klopp either, think he's brilliant.
the VD saga is so indicative of football today, especially PL & the “top 6” sides. that’s why I detest LFC so much now. Bitter? Yes you’re ffucking right.
I`m very wary about vanity in men - and his gnashers are ridiculous. I like the way that our manager looks like Max Wall from the waste down.
We were screwed by LFC, Klopp (he was a total jerk for getting caught having b’fast with VD) the system & most importantly VD (for going behind our back & causing **** loads of dressing room unrest). No business is going to jeopardise a cash windfall, however much it hurts. As I said earlier, it’s totally set now for the top 6 & nothing is going to change it. They’ll continue to get £ stronger (already in place with next seasons TV £) & ANYONE who “threatens” the top will just be £ raped.
I just wonder folks how we would have reacted had the boot been on the other foot. Ok I agree we wouldn’t be paying such a large fee for a player. Yes I agree it was an illegal move, but do you honestly think we do not do similar things?? Maybe not using our manager granted but we would be nieve to think we don’t do similar. This type of tap up has been going on probably since around the 70s maybe a bit earlier. On another note.... am in temperatures ranging from 32-38...... can anyone explain how the hell I’ve got a stinking cold??
Football lost its integrity with SkySports. Dodgy transfers were around way before then but the money swilling around in the game has made the problem so much worse. I'll accept Man United played their part in it also. BUT and I would have this opinion even if I wasn't a United fan, the football media - sports pundits, football commentators, newspaper columnists are mostly ex-Liverpool players, or their supporters. And so the only difference is that whilst other clubs do these sorts of things and get dragged through newspaper column inches over it (perhaps rightly so) Liverpool won't be.
So SFC got £75 million for VVD? Sold far too cheaply! Should have been doublé at least for arguably the best defender the world has seen since the heyday of Franco Baresi!!
