Bit of a misnomer because weekend threads have been going on for ages so nothing new and I've not done anything to improve on it. A bit like adverts saying a recipe is New And Improved, well it can't be both at the same time shirley? Either it is a new recipe or it is an improvement on an existing one n'est pas? I shan't be at football, I won't be in the man-cave, I will not be painting the spare room. This weekend and the following week I shall be in LAS F.UCKING VEGAS! Yes I know, "hope the plane crashes", "hope there is another mass shooting" "hope you stub your toe on the bed frame" etc etc, but who gives a f.uck? I'll be throwing money away like a good 'un in the vain hope that I hit the jackpot. Having said that I seem to recall that even if you win $1million (that's £150,000 in Scottish money) they don't wedge you up with the whole lot at once. You can either take a much lower one off payment or opt to have it paid out in full but over years worth of instalments. Takes the shine off knowing you will have to wait 20 years to get the lot!
I shall be getting to the airport early doors tomorrow, we've already done the boarding pass stuff so hopefully it will just be a matter of turning up and scanning the paperwork to get through in to the Departures Lounge. We've got executive suite access apparently. Free booze (for Mrs Grove) and free drinks and that. I am sure I'll be purchasing yet another bottle of smellies, more ear phones and anything else I forgot to pack. Any of you twats been to Vegas?

Not sure on the hookers but when I first went 25-ish years ago there were hundreds of Mexican touts handing out cards advertising strip joints. The pavements were covered in dropped cards and they didn't care who they handed them to. Last time I went was about 8 years ago and that sort of thing had largely stopped. You can spend hours just people watching, or seeing how long it is before "single ladies" (Ho's) get picked up at bars in the casinos. I do the slot machines, roulette and Blackjack but steer clear of poker as I haven't a clue what I'd be doing. Won enough last time to buy Mrs Grove a Tiffany necklace but I fully expect to leave every penny on the table this time round! Mate at work won $4k on the slots a few months ago which would come in handy. I love Vegas but it isn't for everyone although I'd encourage people to give it a go and you can stay on a budget if you don't want to fork out a fortune in the main Strip hotels. One of the pooves with tigers got mauled but just about survived. Siegfried & Roy had the white tiger act and you used to be able to watch the tigers at The Mirage but it was very depressing as they were stuck in a crappy enclosure and looked drugged. The tigers, not S & R.
