    Personally it's bent for me.

    I know gyan jumped ship when we couldn't replace him, but bent was a revelation for us and done the dirty when we were flying high.

    Gyan left for a nice bank balance, but why stay here? Where are we heading this year, Bruce has about as much ambition as a fly, so why stick around at a time like this. It dosent take away my hate for the **** though

    I would say Gyan, Bent left and although the main reason was money I think he also left because Crapello told him it would help his England chances and because he was intimidated by Gyan and felt he would lose his place to him.

    Gyan by the looks of it left for pure greed. Not only did he leave, he left when we had no chance to replace him.

    A million miles Bent.

    As fans we invested a lot of our emotion and affection for the bloke to get him here, when his career was floundering at Spurs, had online campaigns to get him picked for England, hero worshipped and supported him, only for him to then turn around and **** on us all from a great height. All the kids that wanted Bent on their shirts and pictures on their walls were **** on by this twat. Oh yes, I loathe the ****er with all the venom I can muster.

    Gyan was always a mercenary and we were always a stepping stone for him to better himself. He has acted like a greedy **** as well but I'm not surprised at all and good riddance.

    Don`t know about hate, I`d say I`m more disappointed in them, equally. They could have had it all here. They had a good wage, a great club and the best set of fans in the premiership to worship them, if they produced the goods. & yet they walk away because of dirty rotten money. They should be ****ing ashamed of themselves. :angry:

    Both of them have irritated me beyond belief by their attitude and timings.

    I think Bent owed us more (like his whole career re-boot) so I am more mad at him but if I hear any more comments from Gyan like "Sunderland are still engraved on my heart" that might change. Greed is one thing but don't take the piss with inane comments like that.

    Actually - I don't hate either, but what is 100% certain is that both were badly managed.

    I would say Bent, I know there is no loyalty to fans or clubs now, but Bent was re born at Sunderland. He owes this club and its fans..... Gyan's only defence is..it seems he was touted around by the club during the transfer window, so no suprise he jumped ship really...still a greed twat in any case

    Bent, we turned his career around and the way he left was terrible, but his move was more justified then Gyans

    <ok>

    Fair call. From most of the comments above the word which is missing but springs to mind is EGO. The majority of modern players have forgotten what a privileged life they lead which is rewarded with more money in a short career than most entire families earn in a generation or more. It's no longer about footabll any more for most, just how much money is in it for ME.
