None whatsoever. People chatting about these minor things, like De Bruyne being injured as if it helps us. We can’t even help ourselves ffs, we got run all over the pitch by West Ham and were lucky to get anything from that game.
It goes both ways IMHO. If it starts happening than the ref is under pressure not to prove the point. Correspondingly the ref wants to show the world that they are not cowed by manager talk. Far easier for Man Utd just to buy a ref like they did with agent Webb.
He does spring to mind ... one of the worst culprits used to be Gareth Barry ... remember us playing Everton opening game after promotion ... ****er eventually picked up a yellow but committed enough fouls to be sent off 3 times
This sort of mind games is what Ferguson used to do before big games and it gets the press talking and refs thinking. I think it made a difference and it can unsettle the opposition. Jose is another expert at mind games.
Agreed. When you're experienced and powerful like Fergie and Jose it definitely does no harm. I'm positive it helped Fergie who was an intimidating and clever bloke. Remains to be seen whether OGS can pull this off considering his lack of clout.
I cant say i agree with rainman too often but he is correct in this case. Pep teams (very smartly) put in these small fouls when they are getting countered which they ever rarely get carded for (maybe they arent proper fouls or pep teams seem to get away with). Its why they arent caught out as often as they should be.
Depay is doing very well in Holland tbf. Maybe he's matured and doesn't think everything evolves round him anymore... Cheeky summer return to Utd perhaps?
Possible order of players doing well in PL having played in foreign league? Germany (most likely) Spain France/Portugal tie Holland Italy (least likely) ?
Only to sell him on, we have a £35m buy back clause. Judging by his social media he hasn’t changed at all.
