I think the underlying psychology to the game is fascinating. City know they need to beat United. United know that if they prevent City winning, they will have helped their most hated rival (in the Premier era) win the title. Don’t anyone try to pretend that there is not, at least, the possibility that this has the potential to affect the result.
5 years? He’s probably close to that now. After he has had the summer off be will be rolling in Neil Shipperly like to pre season
I still think Liverpool will drop points this season. Imagine the fun we could have if they celebrate the title win tonight then get bent over by Rafa
I probably have more dislike for Leeds than I do for City tbh. A lot of my friends/family are City fans, (the quiet ones generally). Of course I’d prefer City to win the league but I’d prefer to win tonight over them winning the league. As much as it would annoy me reading all the media jizzfest over Liverpool, I’d get to remind the City fans that we stopped them winning the title, and that would be decent as well. It’s crumbs like, it’s what we have to settle for.
I think that's a fair point. Newcastle away is proving to be a difficult fixture, as are wolves on last game of the season. Obviously hoping city drop points tonight, but I just cant see it and when city are 2-0 up by 30 mins I think we will all forget these discussions.
That’s what I’m expecting. We would have to be at our very best to stop them and even then they are still capable of ripping us to shreds. This is my guess for tonight’s team De Gea Dalot (RWB) Young Smalling Lindelof Shaw (LWB) McTominay Matic Pogba Mata/Lingard Rashford I don’t see Fred, Martial, Lukaku or Sanchez starting the game. Ideally we would have Herrera in there instead of Matic.
Hopefully City are still fuming from their CL exit to Spurs...i can imagine the shock must take a while to wear off when you think youve just got yourself a bye into the semis but you end up getting schooled @gooner4ever to confirm that it was a 'bye' Come on Raheem, chin up
Great analysis, Bruv! You, like me, appearing to veering towards the notion that Little Ollie is going to get humped senseless, tonight. Am I right?
Its the only thing City have to worry about really. Their arrogance will have already dismissed the FA cup final as a 'gimme' and their true dreams were shattered by us last week so im guessing they will want to put their neighbours to the sword. It was supposed to happen to us...City were gonna smash us on the weekend...they were angry...but they didnt. So im guessing its happening tonight
Not shock, anger. Anger that Pep was not given an extra 150m to spend this season on extra players in case they had to play Spurs 3 times in 12 days.
