Ajax are a young energetic team, would have been hard for Spurs to keep up with them at 100%. Playing City 3 times and then having a catch up game midweek is going to run legs down, frankly tonight they should have rested some of there players, knowing Brighton would likely sit back and defend. Now players they are going to need to depend on, Son, Alli, Moura, Eriksen, are going to run out of steam.
no its not Sky are owned by Comcast and News International didn't have a majority of shares for quite some time before that iirc.
In fairness this is success..... they dont have a huge squad. They sold a cm in January when they were already short. So they've had more injuries, now they can't even figure who to rest and pick an 11 that could get a result. They did try their best v city and frankly they went totally unpunished in the battle for 4th.
So I've decided that I will not watch the Manchester Derby. We need City to drop points so there's certainly an interest in the game but I simply cannot sit in front of the TV willing Utd to win and have decided that I will not watch it or keep an eye on the match I will just check the result at the end of the game. Anyone going to soil themselves by watching it and willing Utd to win?
It's win win. You can sit back and listen to Garry Neville grinding gears. Or you can see Utd 4th place aspirations vanish as spurs have won tonight.. Or you can see city's wheels come off. It really is the ideal. No matter what happens some manc is going to be a loser, no matter what the result. In fact.. a draw is neatly most hilarious as both mancs lose out. I just can't wait to see Neville having another melt
Well they either gambled for the win with youth, but sticking all their eggs in winning the CL basket won’t secure 4th for them, they have an expensive ground to pay for now.
So.... Southampton are now 6 clear with 3 to go and superior gd, burnely are 9 clear with 3 to go and vastly superior gd. Southampton have Bournemouth at home this weekend and Huddersfield last game... So it's really Brighton and Cardiff now. Brighton look absolutely stuffed but the issue is Cardiff need more positive results. We really need Cardiff to be less than 3 points from Brighton before final day.
It's not easy. We basically gambled last year based on having a few points in hand and drew two awful games, we were on last day just needing to not lose I think?
I'm sure it will be by the time we play. Even before the 2nd game against utd they rested the whole team
