Why don’t you look at the likes of Oblak and Neuer’s mistakes for yourself instead? It’s just lazy asking folk to do it for you. De Gea has been ****e this season, I’m not gonna sit and argue that with you, but you’re not having that he has always been ****, he was by far the best GK in the world last 2-3 seasons.
This is how I feel tbh. I think we should do all we can to keep him. However he's on around £200k a week and shouldn't be asking for any more. IF Pogba, Sanchez and Lukaku are got rid, then hopefully he can be persuaded on the issue of wages. The funny thing is, I always thought he was torn about going to Real Madrid to win trophies which given our state under LVG was unlikely. However, it turns out to be money. I suppose it's just the way these days.
This is Tels main redeeming feature ^^^^ If he didn't speak so much sence I'd probably **** on his head.
Its probably both money and success. It may take a couple of years until you challenge again - interesting to see whether he moves and his reason. Pogba will go for good money, Benteke won't and you'll probably end up paying part of Sanchez's wages at a different club. What a disappointment he's been.
Tbh it's almost predictable when you keep buying big names rather than depending on a good scouting system to find quality players in positions you need. We have to get away from this type of ****ing amateur hour **** mentality. But for that to happen we'd need to set Woodward's feet in cement and throw him into Salford Quays.
Yeah agreed. For such a major company United are not particularly well run - at least in the footballing aspects as opposed to commerce. It was bloody stupid giving OGS the contract before the end of the season. Took all of the momentum away and gave the players and OGS (although I don't believe he's the main issue) a free pass to the end of the season. Instead of dangling the carrot Woodward gave them it before they'd earnt' it.
Another one of Woody's decisions I bet. We suddenly had a heap of injuries at once. As has been mentioned on our board, it's no coincidence we've turned to **** since Herrera's been out. And this was somehow a timely moment to give Ole a permanent contract instead of waiting to the end of the season. In any other business, Woody would be considering his position. At United he seems to be untouchable. Pure ****. If I didn't know better, I'd think he was on City's payroll.
I didn’t hear anybody complaining when we signed Di Maria, ‘stole’ Depay from Liverpool, signed Pogba, signed Falcao, signed Schneiderlin, signed Matic or ‘stole’ Fred from City. We even collectively cringed at the idea of Van Gaal wanting to sign Mane from Southampton. We aren’t about the big names, never really have been other than the odd Rio Ferdinand or Andy Cole. All of a sudden we change direction and start buying stupid names. We had the chance to take Toni Kroos and Van Gaal cancelled the deal and brought in Morgan Schneiderlin. No Chief Exec in the world should allow that to happen. All we have heard from Ole Solskjaer is that Man United is about X, Y and Z, and Woodward doesn’t get it, he’s so disconnected from what we built our success on it’s embarrassing. Him and the Glazers have no idea.
Fergie (and Gill) were so good. Knew when to give spotlight players a miss. I remember one of the last two decisions Fergie made - firstly to fck off Pogba (although many including myself didn't see it at the time) and not buying Ozil when he was up for grabs. They weren't perfect with every buy, nobody is, but how many times did they rebuild the team successfully? Yet 6 years since Fergie and Gill's departure and we've failed to build just one. All during Woody's tenure.
One of the best things Ole has said was in his post match on Sunday I am going to be a success here, some of the players aren't.
