I can see Bale/Kroos being used as make-weights for Pogba going to Madrid. Kroos would be good, Bale could be good, both probably better options than an uninterested Paul Pogba.

Sanchez and Pogba to RM for Bale and Kroos would be a great swap.

In fairness, HIAG's posts are generally that poor ... whether he's got wind or not ...

...he's second only to Saxton in spamming and at least does it solely from the BBC Daily Gossip Column rather than right wing Twatter knob jockeys <cheers>

I think your kits are too visible. You need grey kits so the opposition can't see where you are.

3 of the most over-rated players in the Premier. De Gea has always been error prone, Lukaku has always been a flat-track bully, and Pogba only turns up for about 30% of the matches, the rest of the time he's not even at the races, and that isn't somethng Man Utd specific, he was the same in the world cup, when he finally tuened up in the Semi-final the media ****ed themselves silly, just like they do whenever De Gea saves a shot from 30 yds.

I agree except with De Gea.

Over the last few years he has saved United tons of points.

He's not had a great season but class is permanent.

There is not a better keeper out there who is good enough to replace him imo.

De Gea is quality, but Utd would be fine with Romero between the sticks, he's probably the best No2 out there and he's 32 now so might not want to play as an understudy for much longer.

United do have a conundrum because he's asking for so much money yet has had an off season.

He moves and he is again best GK in the world imo.

United have the potential to have arguably the best GK in the world for another 10 years.

Why risk that on the second gk or getting someone else in who might not be as good?

I just think now he's in the building don't let him out!

Put a solid defense in front of him should be much higher up the priority list.

De Gea has been shocking since the World Cup. Whatever happened between the end of last season and the World Cup has destroyed his confidence. The lad desperately needs a better defence in front of him.

Smalling and Jones are probably the worst centre half partnership in the league. All of the best GK’s have solid defenders in front of them.

Pogba has proven this season that he’s up there with the best midfielders in the world when he’s motivated, but he only proved that in a 2-3 month burst, clearly he cares more about himself, so we have to get rid and collect a tidy profit at the end.

Lukaku should never have signed for us, simple as that.

Last time we were going through the De Gea contract saga, start of a season under LVG, who refused to play him, Romero started the season in goal.

Saw him up close v Swansea and he cost us the game, I've never 100% trusted him since then and see him as nothing more than a stand in.

He's been great since, admittedly, but then he hardly plays. He's definitely got accidents within him.

If De Gea leaves, he's an ok stand in but we'd still need a full time keeper of quality.

lol, there's plenty of keepers out there who are better, his only good quality is saving with his feet, other keepers do the rest far better, De Gea only looked good because he was playing behind a team that played bus-park football and he had to save shots from 30yds. Alisson, for example, not as good as De Gea at saving with his feet, but far less error prone, commands and protects his box, marshalls his defence and has great distribution with the speed of thought to launch counter-attacks that get goals. Another keeper that has impressed me when I've seen him is Etheridge of Cardiff, without him they'd be below Fulham.

I've not seen Romero at Utd to really judge him; however, I have noticed that goalkeepers who haven't had a lot of recent matchtime minutes always seem to be more error prone and less sharp than those who have spent time playing.

In reality it's probably more to do with gametime chemistry with defenders, but it comes across as lack of sharpness.

You don’t half talk some **** Ern.

If any of us rattled off a full assessment of one of your hero hammers, like that, you’d cry for 6 months about how we only see 5% of him on tele.

De Gea has had a very poor season but saying we parked the bus therefore he is over rated is ridiculous. If we parked the bus with a top defence then maybe you have a point, as he’d have faced next to no shots at all.

De Gea was MoTM against us at Wembley. No way they would have won that game without him.

Yeah, he ****s up sometimes. All keepers do...

do they? show me another 'world-class keeper' that has made as many ****-ups in big games. An all keepers have days when they are unbeatable, I think it was Foster last year, pulled off 2 or 3 double-saves which would've been goals on any other day, Fabianski this year has gained us 10 points at least, etheridge is doing his best to keep Cardiff.
There was a time, a year and a bit ago, that I thought maybe I was wrong, but then he decided to prove that I hadn't been mistaken, he's all show reel.
Go for it, let's see if I agree or disagree with what you have to say.

    Lloris to begin with.

And Foster ****ed up big time against The Goons.

    They all do it.

lol, another with an over hyped reputation, though not as over-hyped as De Gea's.

The funny thing about all this is it's from a post I made 5 or 6 years ago, that said Man Utd would continually fail to threaten the league and would struggle to make CL football, all of which has come to pass.
