Match Day Thread Stoke city v Norwich city

It all rests on beating Blackburn Saturday. Win that and we're through. I don't fancy us going to Villa needing points.

 

We’ve lost two games away all season.

Villa have almost guaranteed their play-off position (fortunately not quite mathematically so they should put up a fight against Leeds). They’ll be gearing up for the play-offs and trying to avoid injury when they play us.

Where’s all this “thrashing” bedwetting coming from?

You’d think we weren’t three points clear at the top of the league.

Our form is eleven unbeaten or something! Our away form is stellar.

I don’t know what the point of this worrying is.

I would prefer our position to either Sheffield United or Leeds. Leeds have to play Villa when they still have something to play for.

Everyone is upping their game against us because they are jealous and wish tgey had played better all season

 

Because of the results, performances, point gap and GD gap reducing. Pretty standard.

 

Probably because it should've been done today. We didn't get the wins at home to Reading and Sheffield Wednesday. Momentum is slowing and a big lift will be required for Blackburn.

No panic or whinge or anything. I dunno why you reacted so defensively.

 

Sure but we’re still way clear, just drawing it all out a bit.

Fact is we didn’t play well, but ultimately drew because one nasty defensive error was badly punished by a decent finish. The other two draws also came at the hands of wonder goals and refereeing errors.

We’re still the better team in each match. I never thought Stoke looked like scoring the entire second half, whereas we had two or three big chances.

 

Five points from the last 3 games (including today's game v Stoke) wins us the title no matter what Leeds & Sheffield Utd do, so all we need to do now is beat Blackburn on Saturday at Carrow Road & take a point off Villa on the last day of the season to win the title

 

I’m not being defensive! I’m saying everyone calm down. I really think the tense support affects the players.

We remain in a better position than either of the other two teams competing, so I really don’t get the anxiety and it just makes it worse.

Yes - I agree. I think they will restrict Leeds to six.

 

Think we have had a few terrible decisions by the Refs in the run-in, in the past few games, e.g. foul on Trybull v Reading in Penalty area not given, dodgy penalty against Godfrey given v Wigan, Handball goal for Sheffield Wednesday to name a few, think we are due a few in our favour in the next few games.
