What I mean is: it may not be the manager's fault, but it is his responsibility to sort it out. I said the other day that the crunch has come for Ollie - he needs to show who's boss. It's the fault of some of the players that there's no team spirit, but the manager has to fix that. Imagine if Fergie was still in charge of that lot - there'd be blood everywhere. I don't think they need a complete overhaul, just a judicious weeding. Liverpool have a great team spirit atm, and that is down to the manager in no small way. When Sakho played the fool he binned him straight away. A manager has to be ruthless - we've seen what player power has done to the likes of Chelsea.
It's a funny thing, but morinho got dogs abuse for the way utd played, after a little bounce ogs is going the same way. The transfer policy at utd has been a joke, getting Sanchez in and paying him a ridiculous amount, buying pogba who is obviously only arsed about himself. Vanity signings, with no thought to how they will fit together has been their downfall. There are a number of sides out there that I can't help but feel would be better off losing there "star" player, Chelsea and hazard, spurs and Kane, utd and pogba. Building a team with the money rather than pandering to a player who's main interest is themselves
the man has done well as a coach. but to make a coach a technical director is utterly ridiculous. the position is almost... almost not a football position. it's a management role where you bring together people who know about football to make decisions and improvements across a massive organisation. in short the only requirement is that the person has no ego related to interfering by picking players and getting in front of cameras... aside from that its an executive role. to even think about a man in a tracksuit who runs players round a pitch for it is ridiculous.
yes. it's almost as if a character from a children's clay stop motion cartoon is in charge and buying players to sell shirts
I know. I'm saying that that's what they need imo. It'll take time, but he has to get rid of the poisonous egocentrics.
it'll depend if Utd make policy based on the opinion of Twitter trolls on the Utd feed. (there are no real people on Twitter, only trolls.)
The summer will be the key for Ole. Sounds like yesterday he already knew who were in the way out. Maybe post Barca he made that clear and that’s why they downed tools to make Everton look just okay.
Maybe Brands at Everton is a different DoF type. He is identify players and being a link between the academy and 1st team. The role he had in Holland and did well at
Not his squad either though. Look at Chelsea, a couple of players can poison the dressing room. Pogba is their Hazard.
All that "I don't care about potential any more" sounds like he's saying Mané > Martial to me @moreinjuredthanowen
Hazard is the opposite of a team player, he's even admitted in interviews he doesn't care about the result so long as he has fun making his own runs
but before that lampard and Terry and drogba ruled the roost and got many many managers the sack. is it hazard or simply culture round that club?? I reckon the next lot along could be just as bad if they don't root it out entirely.
