I'd be quite content with a couple of decent defenders (bought on ability rather than world class status) - either two CBs or 1 CB and 1RB. And a creative mf (playmaker), one with a bit of pace. We're not trying to achieve everything overnight. Just enough to get Top 4 next season. And give Ole control of who he wants out.
We have to stick with him imo. But also give him control over how he manages the players. It would show real intent IF he is the one making decisions about who leaves and who stays. I do suspect at the moment some players think they're untouchable, especially after the Mourinho debacle.
It's a roller coaster of a ride mate I'm still buzzing from seeing Gundogan in tears on Wednesday and Sterling obviously still seething on Saturday
Utd need to look at any rebuilding on a structural basis, as in how they can create a team that actually functions as a team. A lot of the defence is not fit for purpose, imo. Jones, Smalling, Young, Daliot are not of a calibre needed for a serious challenge. The midfield, if there’s any way to keep Herrera, do it! Fred - bang average. Pogba - either start acting like a team player, put in a shift on a regular basis- not just when you feel like it, or **** off! Matic - time’s nearly up. Rashford needs to be treated with care - he’s a real talent, imo. I used to be an admirer of Lingard. Maybe somebody can get him playing again. Martial - another real talent but goes missing far too often. A toxic mix of too many Prima Donnas who show up as & when they feel like it. And too many others who just aren’t up to the required standard,
