There isn’t an endless supply of players of the calibre you want and you aren’t the only or most appealing club looking for them. You either pay way over the odds and risk more Sanchez situations, take a punt on players not in crazy demand but probably still pay over the odds like Fred and Lindelof or stick with most of what you have.
