Do you think you will be able to get rid of some of them though? Lakaku is supposed to be on nearly £180,000 per week, Sanchez is on around £400,000per week...who will be willing to pay them that kind of wage?
Start of season wage bill (stolen off our board) https://www.totalsportek.com/money/manchester-united-player-salaries/ Clubs will buy (and pay) Pogba and Martial. Sanches we are stuck with unless we subsidise his wage. EDIT.............forgot Lukaku, I would be ok with him staying, not bad as a plan B when needed.
I know they'll buy pogba as he seems to be a money making player. Didn't think united would want to get rid of Martial...I assumed they would be looking to ditch... Pogba, Lakaku, Sanchez, Smalling, Jones and Young
That article cites 2016, not now. Come back with the wage bill value stated in the most recently filed Man Utd plc accounts, and we will discuss further.
Not sure if the club want rid of Martial but it wouldn't bother me Players can have all the talent in the world but without commitment it's worthless. Over the years I have seen so many United players that would not get into a "top" team that have been regular starters and serial winners of cups and leagues, why, because the gave their all and had some self pride/esteem. These days I see better players who can't be arsed if it means they have to work or put effort in. This is not limited to United either, how many players have you seen over the years that were great when they wanted to be? Jones and Young are not good enough but always put 100% into games, Jones in particular would put his balls or his nose in front of the ball to stop it going in the goal, I have seen better players duck out of that.
I can't swear to it but when I started watching in 1953 players got 12 quid a week,10 in summer and 2 pounds for a draw! If that's correct and we got crowds of 40 to 50,000 for a home match, wonder where the money went...…….?
I did say arguably if we get to the final. Was really talking about the run in. But...... I think City are streets ahead of Liverpool. If Mane and Salah were injured I think they are a mid table team. Sane and Sterling and Aguero are a much better forward line. They have better backup in Silva Silva and Mahrez. Their midfield is poor Henderson Milner and Wjinalden would get nowhere near the City team and City's defence looks poor cause of the style they play. We dominated Liverpool recently. In no game have we dominated City. Stood up to them but never dominated. As for Barca. Neutralise Messi and there is not a great deal left. A fat Suarez. A poor replacement for Neymar and a team that has never properly replaced Iniesta and Xavi. They beat teams that are scared of them. We'd have a chance if we get past Ajax.
https://www.totalsportek.com/money/english-premier-league-wage-bills-club-by-club All very nice, except for the small matter that the 2016-17 figures for THFC are wrong. Computer says : untrustworthy info source.
Firmino didn't fake anything yesterday, absolute sparko, didn't move for about 4 minutes. Big clash of heads, bet he has a headache this morning.
Which demonstrates how poor the officials are in the Premier League. Son was booked for this: Who was the ref? Michael Oliver.
Here's a short list of players who have not been booked for diving this season Mohammed Salah Sadio Mane Roberto Firmino Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang Jamie Vardy Raheem Sterling Any rational human being would call that a damn good advertisement for VAR You said "B-b-b-b-b-but..."
