This isn't intended as a wind up or to pile more misery on you all it is is that I genuinely don't have a clue why 1) Sunderland let (arguably) there best player leave and 2) why Gyan would leave a decent club in the best league in the world for some joke club in a joke league? Whats the general feeling about amongst the fans are you upset with the player or your club? I suppose its a bit like the Barton situation only worse because you's actually like and back your board.

No ones knows, if you read my thread on the bigger picture you will see what I think and what some others think but all we can do is speculate. I doubt we will ever know the real truth but its looks like we have done the usual SAFC thing: gone from looking like were about to improve into a top club to a possible relegation side.

When you have figured it out pal give me a shout and let me know cos apart for a lot more dosh, which is fair enough, as a career move its a complete **** up. If he had gone to one of the big European clubs in the Champs League I'd have more understanding bit apparently, they play in front of less than 4,000 crowds?

Its the way modern football is, though I'll never understand it. I thought £40 - 50,000 per week would make you a very wealthy man and that playing in front of 40,000 passionate crowds while earning it would be good as well. Seems both are wrong.

    Just speculation here.

Sun/Weather: he was gutted last year when he learnt that we didnt have a winter break, so he could not go on holiday for 2 weeks, European market was shut so he couldnt go anywhere over here when the window had shut (team in Turkey wanted him seemingly but he may not have fancied Turkey), UAE team came in for him, who only play 22 games in a season I believe, and it is hot over there in the winter but not 44degrees, probably closer to 25-30 degrees (better than our summers).

**** league: Going to turn this on its head, he was in a hard league with a team that didnt exactly set the world alight, and he was part of the problem (not all of it but still a part), so go to a **** league where he very well may look world class compared to the rest, win them the league (they finished 3rd from bottom last season) get noticed, get a move back to Europe with some confidence and sun on his back. Its a small world, scouts over there, and easy enough to get videos of the matches.

Money: honestly not sure about this, he signed the contract just last year, if he wasnt happy with the amount, he shouldnt have signed the damn thing, if its Wickham or ji is on more per week (its possible) then surely he should have has clauses in his contract IE I have to get payed the same as the top earner, or even, I have to get payed the same as another striker, if they are on more than me.

This ^^^^....and it probably affected his night club bookings over Christmas and New Year. He's got the rest of his life to do the music thing after he hangs up his boots. The 2 careers are just not compatible with each other.
